His team D has been outstanding this season, as well as his face-up D and p&r D..

His post D is below average though, but everybody knew this before tonight..being dominated by Dwight Howard isn't the ideal example..

Originally I called him one of the worse posters, but I like that youre more specific.

Anyways, there were certainly a few times Howard made Splitter look foolish. Just like he did to Dice and Bonner. Duncan probably played Howard the best tonight but even then Howard was automatic.

I laughed at the thread le.

Nice one... But I respectfully disagree. Howard made all our bigs look like traffic cones...

Including the greatest PF of all time...

Absolutely a fact. No need for explanation at all. Splitter sucked. I was expecting 20/10 in his 17+ minutes of playing time. Guess I was wrong. Only got 11/5 on 5 shots. I was expecting 20 points on 5 shots. Damn.

splitter made a few mistakes, but he was probably just as tired as everyone else. overall, his defense was pretty good. he wasn't bullied by howard, and that's something i like.

I'm not just talking about being hammer ed by Howard. Every driver got right to the rim. Isn't the forum line that he's a rim protector?

Dwight got lucky that he didn't get called for his third foul in the first half, I think it was a shooting foul on Duncan that he got away with but w/e. Dwight can turn into an unreliable player real fast if he gets caught up in foul trouble too.

I liked Splitters effort and positioning. He definitely needs to work on his overall strength though. With more minutes, which he'll get as the Spurs schedule gets busier, he'll hopefully adapt more....specifically he's lost too many easy battles on the boards. The Spurs team overall looked tired on this tough back to back which also doesn't help against the likes of the Magic and D12.

On a semi-related note its a good thing for the Spurs that they don't have to deal with an elite athletic star big man anymore in the West since Amar'e signed with the Knicks.

Blair sucks on defense, but at least he can rebound. If' there is anyone within 5 feet of Splitter, he doesn't get the board.

He's Dwight Howard people, anyone guarding him is gonna get called for fouls, especially a rookie. In the position Tiago is in, there is only so much he can do.

Why did DHO have to learn post moves
his post moves are overrated just like his master

duncan no vertical lift to block shots

    blair undersized to do all

bonner lol just another player on the floor making up t he numbers

mcdyness is only good at swatting the balls....

we clearly need a athletic shotblocker...

and d12 throwing the ball into quins face, shouldnt that be a tech?

He can rebound in traffic if the height extent of said traffic is 6'5" or less...
Splitter is used to playing against slower and smaller players. He is getting exposed in the NBA.
