So no one is upset about breaking word and not giving 48 hours before voting on a bill? Is anyone else wondering, besides not increasing taxes, why none of this focuses on economic growth and job creation?

No. That was always a red herring.

Is anyone else wondering, besides not increasing taxes, why none of this focuses on economic growth and job creation?
You mean why is there not more socialism and government intervention in the free market?

    You tell us.

How can we be upset over something they proved they wouldn't keep long ago?

They have no integrity. We know that, why push the issue? The lib s you are tying to rile up just pat themselves on the back as to how good their corruption works. They see themselves at winners for playing a sham.

No, they justify it by saying it is for a good cause and then try and point out the bad of the other party.

I'm disgusted by the whole lot of them! Everything is going up - except my pay; and I know there are millions of others just like me. And what about all the millions who are unemployed. And instead of concentrating on things that will help the economy, they waste their time on legislation to help the illegals, the gays and the Russians. So they pat themselves on the back and head off on their wonderful Christmas holiday - while millions of Americans will have nothing for Christmas. And they wonder why Congress' approval rating is in the toilet.

I think that you would have been sicker if you heard the show they were doing on NPR the other night. They had the postal workers from a few cities in charge of the Santa Mail on, and were reading some of the letters. They said in years past the overwhelming amount of letters asked for IPODs, laptops, etc. This year the letters are all about "please bring me shoes", "for christmas, don't bring me anything, but could you please bring my sister a warm dress", "please help the economy", "a warm meal", and then there was this one "for christmas I don't want anything, but if you could bring mommy a smile, that would be great"

That is heartbreaking. Yesterday I went to my church's mission to get help paying my electric bill. The place was packed - and most of the people there were families with young children. It was a very depressing sight.

DADT was dumb to begin with.

9/11 responders bill just exists to villify anyone who dares oppose it.

Nuclear arms race with the Russians hasn't been an issue for well over 20 years.

    Fuming?

    Well said.

You miss the point. Others don't know, they aren't open. One big can of worms this will open up is a phobes will clubber gays in the shower, claiming he got frisky. Or... gays might actually get frisky, get clobbered, and say it was a hate crime. As for the showering, some people get very disgusted at the though of someone sizing them up, feel violated like a naked women would in the mens shower. The school example was used, but how PE isn't mandatory after such a grade level that approximately equates to puberty, and sexual awareness. It's not comparable, and students have a choice to take the electives or not.

You have no such choice in the military!
The same issues occurred when the military integrated races though, right? Whites will want to clobber blacks in the shower, etc etc...

WC, the business world is professional enough to handle gays working openly. Why do you think our service members aren't as professional?

As others have mentioned, straight men are showering with gay men now, so it makes no difference. Gay men don't have to come out if they feel threatened (though they shouldn't have to feel that way). ANd if a straight person is worried about it, he either a) keeps it to himself, b) gets counseling or c) gets out.

We wouldn't be too concerned about a person who had issues working with a different race or gender, would we?

It only takes one that is properly placed.

Only one nuke would take out the entire US and its capacity to totally destroy Russia in retaliation?

It depends on who the target nation is. N. Korea is the current hot spot, right?
