Stop fooling yourselves Spur fans. Duncan has not done anything the last two seasons to make me believe he can lead this team to a deep run. This is Manu's team, but unfortunately, if the threes aren't feeling, Manu won't get enough help from Duncan. This is a nice Spurs team, but not anything we haven't seen before.

0-12 in the playoffs says a lot about the mental toughness of a guy like Pau. Fine, Dirk lost in 2006, but he carried his team to the Finals, beating a very, very good Spurs team in the WCF of that year.
umm, ok
semis imo^
suns were WCF
GG Magic, I still think they have something special, but it's probably going to take them at least a year to gel. But like every year, if they're hittin those 3's consistently, we'll see them back in the finals.
hahaha yeah...that really carried his grizz deep into the playoffs.
its easy to look good next to the greatest player after michael jordan on your team.
had dirk been the one on those lakers teams....oh my.
plus...if pau's defense is so good why does Dirk own his ugly ass every game since he was a grizz?
Doubtful that they were very very good that year. Let's see, they beat the Kwame/Cook/LO/Kobe/Smush 2006 Lakers by 6, 7, and 9 points in the 3 games you guys won. These Lakers did beat you by 8. So in retrospect the 2006 Lakers were very compe ive against your very very good 2006 Sp*rs. Kobe basically played 1 on 5 that year and you barely beat them. But y'all did win the season series 3-1 so I shouldn't say , huh?![]()
The word for the day is team needs. Pau fits what the Lakers needed more than _irk would have. The thing you _irk fans don't get is Pau was asked to play center for us when Bynum went down in 2008. He weighed like 235lbs at best so he got tossed around like a rag doll in the Finals - especially considering he never made it out the 1st round let along being asked to play on NBA's biggest stage against some tough SOBs (payback was last year though). He still has a legit postgame and a jumper that extends to about 18 feet. So he was more than an adequate center for us.
Now replace Pau with _irk. WTF was he going to do for us at center? He would have gotten roughed up even worse because he has no low post game to fall back on if his jumper is blanketed (a good chance that happens in 2008. Hate to say it but the Celtic's D was smothering fools in 2008).
You won't get any arguments from me when it comes to scoring between the two players. Everything else? Different story.
You sound like this is personal for you. Since the Spanish Acquisition, the Lakers have won over 80% of their games (or some insane % like that). That may or may not have included being "outscored" or "owned" by him. I remember Dominique Wilkins outscoring Bird and MJ - routinely. How'd that turn out for him?
LOL at LkrFan trying to troll Spurs fans and getting his ass trolled by MavsFan instead...
ObviousTroll is Obvious
Orlando was pumped to win their 1st game with that lineup after the trade. I didn't expect the Spurs to win this game coming off a back 2 back, but Pop needs to give them an earful. They still have the NBA's best record and they have to play better next game and bounce back. The Lakers loss to the Bucks at home was worse imo. Orlando really wanted that game vs the Spurs and it's just the regular season and not playoffs.
This thread fails..What a joke. Making Hedo and Arenas look like the next coming of Jordan.![]()
Good for Magic. Spurs win 10 and lose 1. Fine with me.
Why does lakerfan care so much about the Spurs?
