lol
But it doesn't matter, because only the postseason counts! Theyre gonna run the table, book it!
Go Lakers!

stern will shift the conference lines and allow the Lakers to transfer to the East where they will be a typical 8th seed with a losing record
It amazes me how much trash is being talked here. The Lakers are still the defending NBA champs and have hit a 3 game slide where they have gotten blown out and out played. After the game in New Orleans they have some home games coming up that they should pull out some wins and perhaps regain some momentum going forward.
They will win enough games to make the playoffs and will give teams a challenge yet again in the playoffs. For now they have to regroup and start playing a little better and they will. What is evident is they will have problems in the playoffs with the Heat, Spurs, Magic, Celtics, Mavericks, Thunder, whoever they have to play to try and 3-peat and it will be tough as the West looks better than last year and they clearly have a bullseye on them.
Lakeshow curtains closed for re-tooling![]()
Look, I think the majority of posters know that the Lakers, until proven otherwise, can turn it on when they need it.
But since so many dumbass Laker fans feel the need to say thar the regular season is unimportant, threads like this are totally fair.
(note: there are some good non troll Laker fans on here of course, just talking about the troll ones)
Name 5..or is that asking to much?
Lakaluva
Kool-aid
21-Blessings
Banzai
Culburn (and whatever alias he has that got assraped by Mono in the Houston game)
Those are the only ones I can think of that might matter TBH.
Medvadenko and IronMexican are legit though.![]()
These threads make my day. Thank you so much LnGrrr
Banzai is cool. Not a homer or frontrunner.
Lakers are still the team to beat in the West, they will get it going, but it's looking less and less likely that they would be able to beat a relatively healthy Boston.
Not a lock! Lakers have lots of issues and this year will not get a fortunate tip in by Gasol or other breaks and will not win the West. Both the Spurs and Mavs loaded to take them out and both the Thunder and the Jazz also fully capable of giving LAL all kinds of trouble.
Heck MI, I don't know if they can get past the Spurs. Your looking way ahead for this squad. Spurs definitely cream of the crop this season in the west.
Late January early Feb will give me a true snapshot of this Laker team. I really think they'll play catch-up for the rest of the season.
The Spurs do look amazing. If they stay healthy, I think either of SA, LA or DAL can take the West, Dallas being the least likely out of those three.
But you know LA will get it together - they may not have the homecourt advantage though, which could play a big role in determining the winner out West.
But a team with Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Artest, Bynum and Derek ing Fisher as well as decent depth is certainly going to be right in the battle come playoff time when the game slows down and depth from 9-12 becomes less important.
Non- Laker fan alert!![]()
The Lakers are bored right now. They are playing that way. They are tired from all the extra games they have played in the last 2 years. They are playing that way. Gasol, especially seems to lack energy. I believe they will shake out of the boredom at some point. I am not so sure about the energy.
They are just bored that's why they're getting blown out![]()
Bored or not, they need to understand that home court is getting less and less likely. Without it, they aren't getting passed Boston in the finals (that's assuming they even make it out of the West)
I, in fact, LOVE the trash talk. Just shows how much butthurt has been lingering for the past 3 years. We've been hearing SPurs fans say "wait till the post season, the regular season doesnt matter"...now that they are relevent in the regular season, they are jumping up and down like Mavs fans. I love it!
I love how lakers fans at Clublakers tell that "uh you doomsayers they're just bored and stuff and we can turn it on in the playoffs" without realizing that the Lakers needed homecourt for the last three finals runs
We're jumping up and down at the thought of a Lakers-Mavs WC Semifinal.
Regular season usually doesn't matter, unless you're in an incredibly stacked NBA with about 6-7 very, very elite teams and a bunch of average squads.
Even if the Lakers were playing EXCELLENT basketball, would you want them to have to possibly face OKC, then Dallas, then San Antonio?
i love how laker fans who say "we can just turn it on" forget that's the at ude that got them face ed in 03
sure, we'll hand your asses to you if you want to. but that is if they're playing excellent ball. but as of late they're playing like hot garbage, so pass![]()
