The Lakers are clearly playing their worst basketball of the Kobe-Pau era. It's not unexpected though, 3 straight Finals appearances + Olympics will take its toll on your star players.

Take the Spurs, for example. Never came close to repeating and needed two god awful seasons to recoop from their '07 run.

As bad as things are, the Lakers are still 21-10. That's not a terrible record by any means and they can certainly turn things around. I'm not going to bet against Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant, I'm confident they will turn things around soon enough.

Yeah, the Spurs were unable to repeat, but they never had the luxury to play teams like the Thunder (young), Jazz (lol Boozer and Fesenko frontline), Suns (a surprise team that people didn't even expect to make the playoffs last year), and a banged up Celtics squad filled with senior citizens. Suffice it to say, the Lakers last two runs through the West has been cake.

And betting against Kobe is always a safe wager, especially in the Finals. It's his supporting cast that I wouldn't bet against.
