That is music to my ears. Go Heat!
I cringed.
Doc Rivers looked really ing nervous though...
pause at 0:30
Why'd you cringe? It was a fluke injury on the way up to make the dunk. It's not as if his leg bent in two or something...
I ing hate knee injuries... If he goes down, C's chances of going back to finals go down as well.
But it's not really a fluke. Previous weird knee trouble combined with coming up gimp off a routine dunk looks almost career ending.
KG did seem like he was dunking a lot this season....yikes.
I guess I meant "fluke" as in you couldn't see any reason for the injury on the play. He just seemed to tweak it randomly...
I remember when Duncan had a freak injury back in 2005 against dallas in the season and missed a few weeks. Luckly it wasn't major and made it back in time for the playoffs and the spurs went from there.
Hopefully its something similar as it not being major. Wouldn't be fair to their team or their city.
doesn't look that bad. probably just a sprain.
Good call by the announcer he got hurt going up not coming down.
I think it was vs Detroit
Andthen he injured his other ankle vs Seattle in the playoffs
Which is why I cringed.
If it was the Shawn Livingston clip I'd be turning away in horror.
At :31, he's praying towards mecca.
"fluke injury on the way up to make the dunk"
no, he hurt it when he jumped and landed with both feet before jumping to dunk
As much as I detest the balla thug, I don't like to see anybody get hurt.

This sucks. The good teams are starting to get bit by the injury bug right as the Spurs start to come around to playing them.
Now the Spurs can't get full credit.
Damn you KG!!!
That's the same knee that he hurt in 2009 and had been bothering him ever since. Kevin did look like he got his spring back in his legs this year, but that looks to be ancient history now. I thought that he'd been going to the rim too strong and expending too much energy doing so. His knee obviously agreed......
Edit: Found video of the first injury to that knee and included him jumping for an alley-opp pass. It's basically the same injury and that means we're probably not going to see K.G. for the rest of the season.

Yea. It was against the Pistons 2 months or even less before the Playoffs.
Prolly a fractured knee cap or partially torn meniscus...
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.c...-injured-knee/UPDATE 8:45 pm: Comcast New England is reporting that the X-rays came back negative, meaning no fracture, but he will have an MRI back in Boston on Thursday. The X-ray results are a good sign that this may not be anything long term. Garnett will not return to this game.
Other reports of media who talked to Boston players said they don’t think it was as serious as it first looked.
Yup. In Detroit March 20. He got hurt two minutes into the game. Flew back to San Antonio on the Pistons owners jet.
His reaction and favoring of his other knee (as he lands) are almost identical to the previous injury. Boston media and players are probably trying to be optimistic at this point. His season is probably over, IMO.
