So he just killed nine men?
Disappointing.
That's bull ! He killed only 4 men, all in self defense.
And was involved in the killing of five others.
And murdering two deputies during an escape attempt is hardly self defense.
Did you even read your own link?
You don't have to be a historian to know these myths. In fact, almost all the experiences of American exceptionalism that we get from the west are myth.
The Troof: Jeff Bridges >>>> John "Fake Macho Man" Wayne
^^^moonlights as a film critic. Never would have guessed.
They must be repugs.![]()
It is self defense, if you are falsely imprisoned. Everyone has a right to liberty, and no one has the right to kidnap others.
Nah, he lay in wait to kill the second deputy. He was under no imminent threat. That was clearly murder.
He is not charged with that alleged crime. It is irrelevant.
Murder is relevant. The only reason I see for a posthumous pardon is to symbolically reinforce the practice of criminals like Billy the Kid's ratting out other criminals for reduced sentences.
Billy The Kid Pardoned 130 Years Later
As one of his final acts in office, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson says he will pardon the man known as "Billy the Kid," delivering one of America’s best known criminals the pardon he had anticipated for much of his life.

Absolutely, he expected a pardon for rolling on another criminal.
Billy the Kid was not a criminal.
Billy the kid was the victim of state aggression, followed by Pat Garrett aggression.
he won't be know as a criminal anymore after he gets the official pardon.
Your link proves otherwise.
No, it doesn't.
Of course it does, Rolf. Don't be angry because you owned yourself. It happens so often, you should be used to it by now.
Do you think Nixon didn't abuse his presidential powers?
Do you have some sort of fixation on Billy the Kid? Who is Rolf?

You didn't answer the question.
Do you believe that Nixon never abused his presidential powers?
Hardly. Before the Lincoln County War he was a fugitive and outlaw who stole horses.
