    Nice to know it's a guarantee that the Spurs will match up with the Mavs in the playoffs and that it is guaranteed their superstar will be there.

    Who was out when we played the Lakers again?

    Don't read more into this game than should be. They ought to have beat the Mavs without Dirk, though the Mavs fought hard at home and without their star. End of story. Spurs took care of business, maintaining a lead the entire game. It never dropped below 4 points (or two possessions) in the fourth, despite a sloppy game with boneheaded offensive choices and mediocre-at-best defense.

    Yeah, because that's all the Spurs have done, OP. They haven't assembled a 28-4 record or anything, they're not 10-deep, and they don't have chemistry (including a number of extra gears when the game gets tight).
