I personally don't see how Jerry brings back Jason Garrett. I don't see anything different from this team than I saw with Wade Phillips. Now I've read a few rumors that Jeff Fisher is all but fired in Tennessee and that he is the top candidate to replace Garrett as the head coach of the Cowboys.
I'm not sure what to make of that. I've always liked Fisher and his ans teams, but I don't know what he could do with the Cowboys. For one they run a 3-4 defense and Fisher has always been known for a 4-3 defense. He also didn't like the meddling owner Bud Adams and he would probably dislike Jerry Jones even more.
The defense is still beyond awful. They had their energy during the first two games Garrett was coaching but not anymore. They have come back down to Earth and not even Garrett can help that.
Jerry needs to realize that just because he's rich and owns the team, that doesn't qualify him to be GM. He needs to hire a real general manager and a good coach. Pompus ass got's to get off his high horse already. Since he's assumed GM duties, the Cowboys have just sucked. Glimpses of promise here and there, but most of the talent on this team came from Bil Parcells, who although was the coach, played more GM roles than JJ.
Until Jerry lets go of his damn pride, the Cowboys will not return to glory.
i would take fisher over garrett but no one knows what that crazy cook jerry will do
that means the DC is not doing his job...
Those two statements don't fit. Pick one or just admit that you don't like Jason Garrett and you can't explain why.
There are any number of stats aside from the records to indicate that you're simply not looking. Run defense is up, takeaways are up, rushing is up, yards on first down are up, scoring is up. Take your pick.
