Rip-Hamilton -45-22 .672
Cornbread-42-23 .646
So that would be 46-25 and .648
You still win..
I feel bad for Frankie.
Now again that talk that he did not won the fight ...
It would be worst decision though a majority tie with one judge giving win to Maynard
And they are overlooking Tiago Silva.
he did not get a single Q in the pre event press konf.
And after he won decisively - Joe was not going to interview him. .. ...
Got to watch the press after the event
hahah yes Victory!!!
I'm rewatching the main fight. You can argue that Maynard won that 3rd round
Frankie kept the pace and even taken down got to the position of a guillotine
Instant rematch, but Gray's acting like it's a Machida/Rua robbery. The best possible outcome for Gray was a draw (he didn't do enough to win a 5 round fight and take the le from Frankie), and its only because of the 1st round. Frankie pushed the pace and offered the more dynamic offense throughout the next 4 rounds.
I was a Frankie hater for a bit, but after seeing him face the scariest 155 Champion ever, TWICE, and then face the guy that bullied him for his only loss...it's incredible and I hope we get to see him against Pettis. In fact, I wish there was no rematch w/ Maynard and the UFC just capitalized on Pettis ESPN/MTV fame and put him against Frankie next. Pettis sells more PPVs than Maynard and offers a real 5 round fight than just outpointing his opponent.
Post fight they said Pettis gets it..
Dana said he changed his mind and Gray will get the rematch..
So that's good..
Strange
But damn. Now probably Grey will try to outwrestle Frankie in the next fight
btw. all those rematches all the time?
I mean really?
They feel sorry for losers and giving them another chance?
A side note - Mazzagatti as Dana said is the worst. But I do not agree why should he stand up Vera - Silva fight?
I'm glad Aldo/Grispi wasn't co main event, Grispi didn't look impressive at all
Fighters are a sick breed of folks - sick, and yet somehow oddly fascinating.
way off topic here but i just found out, one of the guys that goes to the same muay thai gym i go to lost to gray maynard in his first fight
Details Emerge On Thiago Silva's UFC 125 Urine
http://www.bjpenn.com/profiles/blogs...erge-on-thiagoAccording to NSAC executive director Keith Kizer they originally flagged Silva’s first sample and began testing on a second submitted sample. Once the second sample was analyzed the result was the same. The test came back as “inconsistent with human urine”.
The second sample was tested by the Sports Medicine Research Testing Laboratory which is one of the highest regarded labs in sports PED testing and is accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Their report concluded that Silva “submitted an adulterated and/or subs uted specimen for testing for the urinalysis."
whoa, that's crazy. BJ Penn's site is huge for MMA gossip tho, we'll see how this develops.
