Is the problem innate, or, nurtured?

17 losses? That will come for them sometime this month probably! Seriously, laying into LAL may be dangerous this team is still too damm talented to not make a run - just hope it does not happen in June.
I'm not laying into them. I'm inquiring about how Lakers fans feel about their chances at making a le run this season.
Not as confident as this off-season ...but much too early to panic. I expected the spur run back to prominence ...but had no ideas you would be THIS good.
That being said, there is a small part of me that worries that we are the spurs in 2008 ...good enough to make the WCF but no more because we are getting nothing right now out of two starters ...
But come playoff time expect to see a different team. I still think it's the Lakers/Spurs in the WCF and Boston/miami in the ECF nothing has changed for me ... Im just less confident.
LA will pull it together and make a run. Barring a catastrophic injury to Kobe or Pau, I fully expect to see the Lakers deep in to the playoffs.
I think Lakers will finish strong at the end of the season despite all these crappy games they've been playing lately. In the playoffs, they can still pose as a threat.
The Lakers will be coming out of the West, no question.
The threepeat will depend on their health.
Their chance to get there depends on the Mavs. If Dallas gets Caron healthy, and are playing as good as they were about a week and a half ago, I don't give them much hope.
They'll finish 1 or 2 in the West in the regular season, then clinch the WCF on the road (like they always do).

We'll probably come out of the West if they fix this mess they are creating now. If and when they get there, the finals is a toss-up any match-up they encounter. But I have preference to Boston because the Lakers have problems against athletic and fast people. In fact they have become the anti-thesis of fast and athletic.
I don't know about the entire team, but Kobe usually finishes in the white girl's pooper
