As long as we get the win...I could give a sh*t about the score...This has the feel of an old Spurs-Suns game...Suns come out fast and get a lead, but the Spurs stay close and in the last 5-6 minutes of the game we close them out...Same old story here different team...I doubt the Spurs give up more then 50 points the 2nd half...someone has to start missing shots..

    That's worked against D'Antoni/Amare' before. . .

What's done is done. The question is can they play lockdown D for 1 full quarter? That should be more than enough to win this game.

Didn't the exact same thing happened to the Heat, one of the best D team in the league, against the warriors?

Or was it 72 on 3 quarters?
No you are right, 72 pts in the first half and went on to win the game. I think they only allowed 37 in the second half.

If the Spurs stop attacking the basket, the Knicks can blow this game open in a blink of an eye. The Spurs can get easy shots with a few simple passes ... or even just a solid screen.

This may be the rare game that Manu's creativity isn't needed. He, along with everyone else, just needs to keep it simple.

    +1.

We didn't have much trouble scoring when we got shots up. It's hard to score when you try to get too fancy and turn the ball over. Even with the Knicks scoring 72, we could have won the half without the turnovers.

OKC was exhausted. Just like the Spurs vs Orlando.
Might be, but they are young. Hope Pop proves that they can make adjustments in halftime, otherwise this game could end up in a loss.

tbh, the Knicks were making some incredibly bull shots too...
They will cool down. The question is if we're going to cool down too...

We all know Stoudemire's disdain for the Spurs... who will ever forget the pushups...
I think he outgrew that after getting his ass kicked in the playoffs so many times. He wants to beat the Spurs, but I don't think there's any disrespect there anymore.

    FIFY... I hope.
LOL, GSH, once again with the nice catch.

I have been doing the same... love the Griffin-Gordon-Jordan combo. So much fun to watch, regardless of whether they win or lose.

Well said on Ralph and Mike. You've summed up why I like them perfectly.
TBH I wasn't a big fan of Jordan in past seasons. Didn't seem like a hard worker but ive been impressed this season thus far. Hes providing a lot of 2nd chance opportunities for them while playing solid D.

Also Mike Smith usually interviews a player from the opposing team and they would air it during the down time - if not he would talk about it on air. Does any other call team do that?

I'm in Ft. Worth - Spurs aren't shown here.
You have internet. Why don't you use one of the plethora of illegal free online streaming sites out there? I'm not going to name them but I'm fine with letting you know that they exist. I'm simultaneously watching FSSW on tv and a free online NBA TV stream to get cwebb/mchale's perspectives on the game.

Well... hopefully the Knickerbockers cool off before the Spurs do.

    Interesting game.

Spurs zone defense seemed to affect the Knick offense for a little bit there.

Hey, it is what it is. Spurs last year would have no shot at this game. Of course I am disappointed with this defense, but the offense is stout and the Spurs have a shot at almost every game because of it.

Because of their offense, there is a wider margin for error on defense. If they can just defend well in the 4th quarters, they can win a lot of games.

We say they are going to cool down. It seems to happen almost every game. But Orlando was an example where they didn't cool down, albeit a B2B against a tired spurs team. If they hold Knicks to 110, I will be extremely happy and Spurs should win. I will say Spurs 119 Knicks 111. Go Spurs!

I actually bet Pringles is pretty pissed that they played and shot that well and it's only a 2-3 point game...

we're both playing at a fast pace, so a score this high is bound to happen. not to mention the knicks were really hot that first half. i don't expect them to be all game. we should be in the lead right now, but dice made a few bonehead plays that killed us. plus all the other turnovers... yeah. the second half is gonna be interesting.

McDyess's game has dropped off significantly since the beginning of the season. It's not only this game; his bad games outnumber his good games these days.

Orlando did cool down eventually. Pop just pulled the plug early in the 3rd with the team down 20 and tired legs. They're matching the energy today and it's a close game, despite the defensive inep ude.

For people not quite worried about Tim, in a game with 141 points and 60% shooting, Tim has the worst FG% out of anyone that has played. Only three players are less than 50% total.

    This is against Turiaf.
