You're not seriously going to single him out?
Yeah - I don't think anyone played well tonight. To give up this many points was embarrassing. I hope Pop pops a vein tonight yelling at these guys.

I think we can blame this loss on Richard Jefferson for his comments pregame, amirite??
If those comments caused the whole team to not play defense then sure.

Got outplayed on every position today ... even Felton was better than Parker at the end. I agree that Blair deserved more playing time in the 2nd half ...

Well when D'Antoni has a good team to work with, he tends to with us in the regular season. Too bad he's in the East though cause he'll melt down come playoff time.

It sucks that we couldn't slow the pace of this game down with our defense. We played their style of ball. BUT... that being said, the biggest difference in this game is that we had 16 turnovers, to the Knicks 6 turnovers.

That and the Knicks 3-point defense. Most of the 3's we took tonight were heavily contested, where we usually shoot lots of wide open 3's.

You're not seriously going to single him out?
absolutely, only calling TP out for his defense is ridiculous. The whole team has been ing horrible, TP has not been more bad than the others

He get's singled out because he had been playing very good defense this year, at least more so than previous years.

Well, we won't see the Knicks in the playoffs...they won't get past Miami, Orlando, and Boston.

It's not really surprising. Like timvp said a while back, Spurs look REALLY bad when they lose which is what separate them from teams like Miami/Boston/Dallas/Lakers who lose respectively(not saying those teams are better than SA...they just lose in a compe ive fashion). Look here:

    http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball...1/diffeff/22-1

Spurs eff differential is 24th in the league in losses.
No it's not surprising - as I said, I've been expecting it. I just wish I hadn't witnessed it. *shudder*

    Parker:

    20 1st half points
    6 2nd half points

The problem doesn't come from our offense, we shot 53.7% and Parker is 9/15...

Neither team played defense tonight. It's just that the Knicks had far fewer turnovers and were hitting their shots. After watching the Spurs play such great defense for so many years - this game just makes me cringe.

Quick check shows that yes, I have seen every single Spurs loss. And only . . . 4 winning games.

    Hmph.

Like I said - Spurs were known for defense. And this game was just awful to watch.

Well I had to miss most of the game, but the score shows that defense was lacking tonight.

But oh well, you can't win 'em all! Fight back against Celtics tomorrow.
