COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Hemp seeds are an integral part of the brewing process of this unique beer. Hemp is a relative of hops and provides unique hop-like bitters to this brew. We also use select 2-Row malted barley, Caramel 40, Chocolate and Carapils malts and Cascade hops.

Sublimely Self Righteous is here nearly year round too. I'd also recommend Bear Republic's Hop Rod Rye if they carry it at Spec's in SA.

I picked up the last single of Hop Rod that Specs had, and it was outstanding. Not as hoppy as I was expecting based on the name and then the way it smelled when I opened it, but is definitely an incredible brew that I'll be getting again.

It's a pretty hoppy beer at ~80 IBUs, but the flavor of the rye may help mask it a bit. Racer X and their Apex, two of their strong IPAs are also outstanding, but aren't bottled. They have them on tap occasionally here at the Draught House in Austin.

I got tons of hops in the nose and they were noticeable but not exceptionally strong in the finish. Still a great beer though.

Anchor Steam is a good stand by session beer. Negra Modelo is about as good as Mexican beer gets.

Never had the Zeitgeist and I'm not a big fan of Brewdog, but I love the schwarzbier style. Let us know what you think.

The Zeitgeist is nice. Nice flavour, very dark and strong and a bit chocolate-like aroma. I like it

A buddy of mine tried his first Smithwick's the other day and he got sick. lol He was pissed at me for making him try it.

Peroni and that Czech Urquell is pretty good. But I love my Stella Artois.

La Trappe dubbel. The only trappist brewery in the Netherlands and Westmalle dubbel trappist from Belgium.
