any Spurs fan who uses the "rings" argument is just downright ignorant and blind .... with that logic Robert Horry should be considered one of the greatest of all time.

no one is denying the fact that Duncan has had incredible team success in his career. we are talking about him as an individual player and he isn't anywhere near the top. there are at least 20 other power forwards and centers who are better than Duncan of all time.

Duncan has led the Spurs to the 3rd highest winnning percentage of any player in the NBA (reg + playoffs) and is only beat out by Manu and Parker - over an extended career Duncan is tops and Kobe is 5th by the way.

Like I said, when it was Duncan with the advantage the cyphers were simple & easily recalled.

What's good for the goose, is sauce for the gander.

    Let us proceed...

    Kobe: 5

    Duncan: 4

Chamberlain, Jabbar, and maybe Hakeem (you could easily argue both ways). That's it. Go look at Tim's playoff numbers. He was a one man army for the Spurs from 1999-2004. Even when Tony and Manu reached star status he was still clearly the best player on the Spurs come playoff time. The only exception to this is the 2009 playoffs when Tim had Tendinosis and Tony was going off on Dallas.

Knee problems can destroy a basketball player. Exhibit A: Brandon Roy. Kobe's knees are getting worse, and it's been reflected in his level of play. The fact that Tim can average about 20 a game in the playoffs with a chronic degenerative condition like Tendinosis is amazing.

Anyway, I'm digressing. Name 20 PFs or Cs better than Tim.
