Take things slow, don't act stupid, the nervousness will pass. remember to have fun and remember that they're all going to be new too...the freshman, that is.

Nice. Well, college isn't anything like you think it is (in all likelihood).

Your nervousness is common.. every other student is feeling the exact same way as you.

    You'll be fine.

There's a ton of trim at nearby Rollins College...my advice is to get some, then get some more.

tbh, there's no nervousness a little whiskey can't fix. 1) don't worry about back home, no family issues and no ex-gf. 2) don't feel pressure to ty- every cute girl in your psych class, you'll only end up alone and drunk the first few weeks. Instead, get to be their friends and study with them. Eventually they will trust you and confide in you, then they'll feel lonely and want some company on a Thursday night when they don't feel like going out. 3) Visit your professors during office hours and act interested in the class, it'll give you a guranteed B- unless it's a math class. 4) Avoid math classes at all cost.

It's gonna happen one day, man. I was away at college, my freshman year, no car and my birthday was the second day of class. I knew nobody and I celebrated my birthday by myself at some horrible restaurant nearby campus. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Of course it got better and I ultimately stayed in the area.

True, unless you want a job with real earning potential. Seriously, it's real easy to get caught up in the social life when you first get there and end up blowing your first midterms. If you went to a public HS then almost any university is going to be a sizable step up in difficulty, so don't get behind on your reading lists and studying.

You could insert any destination for Point B and it would be better than A.

Why do you want to avoid Math classes? I'd rather have Math classes than literature or arts classes

Some people are naturally inclined towards the maths and sciences, and others towards the english's and everything else. It's hard to learn (and truly advance) in those subjects if you weren't born with it. Imo it's like being born w/ natural athletic ability.

No way. Avoid all non-math classes at all costs. Whether you have to do a Fourier transform at some point is a good litmus test for finding if a class is worth taking.

Math classes are like the best way to score chicks. I had a girlfriend because I was awesome at math and the girl was my seatmate.

    Math classes give homework.
Math classes lack any room for personal opinion and discussion.
Math classes are unpleasure for hot chicks, therefore if you meet a hot chick in a math class you will only remind her of an unpleasurable experience.

I could go on, but I know ya'll understand the importance of leaving math out of your curriculum. Unless you're good at it, then use it to make money. Otherwise it's a waste of time and pussy.

oh snap! someone else says "seatmate" too.
