Its kind of been known.....I mean its not like cricket announce it for like 50/unlimited.
Surprised no one has mentioned this. Wall Street Journal has reported that Verizon will announce on 1/11 that they will be selling the iPhone 4.

ppl still want iphone?
well duh. they sold 15.8 million in the US alone last year
juicy short on VZ. gonna pop on monday so 3% over 35.93 could get you in.
I still don't see myself jumping on the smartphone train any time soon, but the HTC Thunderbolt and the LG Revolution are more intriguing to me at this point than the iPhone.
I posted that it would happen and everyone jumped on me saying it was a rumor. So much for that. But with Verizon getting it, a jailbreak will come out allowing Sprint users to get one.
It still is a rumor. It's got the be the longest ing rumor in the history of rumors.
2/3 possible release date. And I think Chinese Democracy took longer to come to fruition, tbh.
sadly the thunderbolt doesnt even have a dual core processor. instant fail.
i guess verizon's network will go to now. even if i wanted to upgrade early verizon wont let me, they now require 20 months into your contract to upgrade early.
About time, tbh. I hope it boost our sales.
We're already thinking of writing an Android version of our flagship product.
Sales for what?
Our apps.
What apps?
The ones that pay our bills.![]()
I think it's pretty obvious ElNono works for or owns a company that writes application(s) for iOS. He's also looking forward to a greater install base and possibly more income that a Verizon iPhone would provide.
Why are you only thinking of writing an Android version?
Yes. I just don't want to mention names just so I'm not as easily identifiable, that's all. I do my good share of trolling around these places.
We've had requests from people that moved to Android to port over our flagship app. It's been hard to justify because it would involve a full rewrite, plus we sell specific modules as in-App purchases, which the Android market doesn't support. But with Android making leaps and bounds in market share, it might force our hand.
My contract is up with Verizon so hopefully I'll upgrade to this but I hear there's a new iPhone 5 coming out later this year so what's the point? Is this phone even going to have LTE? Guess my questions will be answered tomorrow (or maybe not).
It's gonna be interesting to see, because if it's CDMA, then it will miss some features, like using the net while in a conversation. Plus EVDO is slower than HSPA...
It would be great if the phone instead uses the new 4G LTE network VZW announced during the CES.
they have 4g. the 4g lte ready phones wont come until march the earliest. they announced a couple at CES. you ahve the thunderbolt which is basically an evo.
no shot. i beleive this will be the first of many delays for verizon. when the iphone 5 is out verizon wont get it for another 5 months. apple is also hesistant to adopt early in new tech. they didnt go 3g the first time out they went edge.
I already find it strange that Verizon is announcing this and not Apple (MacWorld is in 2 weeks). So we'll see. I heard phones would be available starting tomorrow, so that points to CDMA.
Wouldn't surprise me if Jobs introduces the iPad 2 and they have a CDMA model too.
are these locked iphone4 into the carrier?
I would think so. I don't think CDMA has a sim-card equivalent. Plus I think the only other carrier using CDMA is Sprint, and you're probably better off with one of their 4G plans and phones.
