so at CES2011, i was watchin a few youtube clips
looks like this horse is going to be mainstreamnot that ima invest in a new 3d tv and other components.
the question is whats going to be the next step after 3D technology? hologram technology?
Even if people have it that doesn't mean people will use it.
I'll probably skip it. What I like about it is that it makes the previous generation, non-3D TV sets cheaper.
This would be better than 3d tech as it wouldn't require glasses. I have glasses, what am I supposed to do? See fuzzy 3d images?
That's going to be one heavy-ass TV if you want it to significantly alter space-time in your living room. We'd have to figure out a way to mine neutron stars probably.
I think they have to figure out what they want to do with 3D TV before moving on.
Do they want the heavy active shutter glasses, light weight but you only see half the resoultion glasses like in the movies or Glasses-less 3d TV where you have to be in the sweet spot to see it.
james cameron already has a movie planned for 4d he's just waiting for technology to catch up
3.5D tbh
Still waiting on OLED.
I was able to try a 3d game on a 3d tv at a friends, and I have got to say I didn't like it at all.
Don't get me wrong, the experience was pretty amazing in the beginning but after about an hour I started feeling Ill. It could be just me but it really messed up my eyes (strained) for a few minutes after a playing session not to mention a small headache.
Also, although the depth was pretty awesome it seemed like the textures didn't look as crisp. Anyway, annoying ranting mode off lol
3D will always be a fad but as long as theirs a fanbase all 2D equipment will go down in price. Cheers![]()
I actually just googled that. Had never heard of it before, but...
...![]()
OLED is gonna make people blind
We already had a holographic game and it was a huge fail.
Smell-O-Vision, obviously.
Edit: xolotl beat me to it.![]()
That cowboy one? That sucked so bad.
They had a screen here at the NEX... like, $1100 for an 8 inch.![]()
that that kills kids wearing masks. halloween 3, right? (or was it 2? that was my favorite one, btw.)
Ha! I remember that game. I used to waste many a game token at the local Putt-Putt trying to turn around in time to shoot that ing Injun...to no avail.
This is damn sexy. It'll probably be another 5-10 years before the tech and price will be a viable solution.
