fail man
in nba live they also had this, i see nothing wrong with it...whether you like to play of the ball or the player that controls the ball, doesnt really make a difference....
I finally gave in last week and got the game, the only reason I play this is for online versus play, and so far 11/22 games I have played have featured the other guy using off-ball control and letting the computer control the star players and take all of the shots. Such a bull way to play and I don't see how it can be fun, so lame. Ruined the game for me

I have NBA2k10 and online was always terrible, one of the reasons why I didn't get 2k11
I don't think I would EVER defend any basketball game with "NBA Live has it." Just because that was a franchise with features, doesn't mean 2k should. It it does make a difference when Lebron is controlled by the cpu and is doing eurosteps and throwing passes the human couldn't do themselves. It's especially annoying when guys have the computer pulling up for 3s and going 10/13 from 3 with a hand in their face. I think you should have to control any player with the ball in ranked matches
i havent seen anyone play offball on offense. This year on defense you can't see who the other player is controlling, but people play offball D all the time. ...anyway, just like every other 2k game, or game for that matter, people exploit things online. Good players find a way to win anyway, that's what makes it fun.
i remember u can play of the ball, and press when you wanted the cpu to shoot.....
When they're controlling offball on offense the red circle under the player shifts to another player and the cpu controlled player has a grey circle under them. Offball D I don't mind so much because its damn near impossible to stay with anyone 1 on 1 with even a tiny amount of lag, plus people usually use offball d to roam the court and play the passing lanes, offball on offense they ing sit in a corner while their superstar goes 1v1.
It has nothing to do with being a good player, I was in the top 3 ranked players online and was 2 wins away from being on Team2K for NBA2k10 and didn't play last years game after about a week because it was so easy to dunk and throw alley oops all day. If I wanted arcade basketball I would play NBA Jam or Live, I play 2k for the authentic feel, I still think 2k7 was the best they have made so far.
On NBA 2k9, I would lose online games because of the Free Throws
That's right, everytime I played online, I missed all of them
I dont know if the online opponent could enter a cheat code or something like that, but it was weird
FTs in 2k9 were INSANELY difficult to make. It took a ton of practice to get each players timing down right. Tony Parker was by far the worst to shoot fts with in that game
2K11 is overrated as tbh. The gameplay is improved but not nearly enough to be called "greatest sports game ever" and all that other bull being spewed about it.
Too much lag to play basketball online. You cannot make quick moves. You have to press to shoot seconds before you are in position to. It's no fun, plus too many dumb asses.
Was it because of the shaky screen glitch?
I wouldn't pull that until my opponent pulled it first. They inevitably would.
ps3 users...challenge me - user name: RePlay019 - let me know who you are on your request.
I didnt know about that glitch
I could have owned many opponents - lost many games by 1 pt while going 0/10 from the FT line
At one point, I was victim of hack-a-lefty(true story)
2k11 sucks! If you really wanna be the best like me, Jermaine gt fattmacc78 on 360. Just play like the computer plays! Seriously. If you learn to play like cpu, its hard for someone to beat you. I rarely ever lose online when I play serious.
