I thought regular season games don't matter.
They don't matter, which is why making a thread about them not mattering all the more useless.
Just Phil Jackson playing mind games
And it worked
Hahaha trolled by Phil Jackson a decade later. What a ing Jedi.
lol still butthurt + new 2007 asterisk
I am disappointed that the NBA looked at the letter of the rule and not the spirit of the rule. I admit I stepped on the court, and that I should have had some more restraint, but Tim Duncan did the same thing but just not in such an aggressive manner. The rules are the rules, and I abide by them, and in that same vein, I think it would be beneficial for the league then to have also taken a further look at Tim Duncan,
to be vehemently honest
The juicy bait is out, faker fans will take a bit out of this.
ewing was out
Celtic S
The Lakers could have won in '99 if Shaq hadn't spent his downtime moonlighting as a compe ive eater.
I somewhat agree of the asterisk in 99
also subscribe to the asterisks of 95, 02 and 09

When you thought of this you really thought it was clever enough to make a thread?
And so were Magic and Scott during the 1989 Finals
1989 Pistons *
good point lefty, let's revisit the past * champions of the last 2 decades:
89 *Pistons (Magic out)
94 *Rockets (jordan out)
95 *Rockets (jordan out)
99 *Spurs (short season)
02 *Lakers (cheating in kings series)
09 *Lakers (Garnett out)
To be fair, I think the 94 Rockets would have beaten the Bulls (with Jordan)
They destroyed them twice during the 92-93 season; they couldnt handle Hakeem, Maxwell for some reason always played well against Jordan, Horry matched up well vs Pippen, and the PF and PG positions were pretty equal
I thought you guys were all joking about the asterisk...but i didnt know that was for real.

On June 10, 2008, Donaghy's attorney filed a court do ent alleging, among other things, that Game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings was fixed by two referees. The letter states that Donaghy "learned from Referee A that Referees A and F wanted to extend the series to seven games. Tim knew Referees A and F to be 'company men', always acting in the interest of the NBA, and that night, it was in the NBA's interest to add another game to the series."[39] The Lakers won Game 6, attempting 18 more free throws than the Kings in the fourth quarter, and went on to win the 2002 NBA Finals. The teams were not named, but the Western Conference Finals was the only seven-game series that year.[40] The do ent claimed that Donaghy told federal agents that to increase television ratings and ticket sales, "top executives of the NBA sought to manipulate games using referees".[39] It also said that NBA officials would tell referees to not call technical fouls on certain players, and states that a referee was privately reprimanded by the league for ejecting a star player in the first quarter of a January 2000 game.[39]

Un-trollable, tbh.
