It wasnt out of a timeout
we run the best set plays out of time-outs
It wasnt out of a timeout
this is true.
Similar to the play against the T-Wolves in SA with less than a minute to go and the Spurs leading by two. Pop had been ejected from the game so Coach Bud drew up the play. I think it was a deke for a Manu flare and RJ slipped the screen at the FT line. Timmy fed it to RJ cutting right down the lane for the easy dunk. Minnesota withered.
This play was amazing, you could just see, Hill, Manu and Bonner all zero in on Bogut. Bucks players were completelly clueless, lol.
The blog also diagrams that play. Brilliant in so many ways. Watch George the whole time and its orchestrated confusion.
This is why Minesota can come close but don't really have a chance against the Spurs. There's a reason why we are 6-1 in "3 pts or less" games.
Kudos to Neal, standing and cheering his team on. It's good to see the bench cheering for the players on the floor. Tim is one of the biggest cheerleaders out there (literally as well), as he's all smiles when the subs return to the bench during the timeout, just after they finished recovering from a 10pt deficit.
Thanks for that, G-Nob. I wondered if if there was a video for that one. The Spurs ran that same basic play to beat the Knicks in the 90's with Sean Elliott dunking it instead of RJ. I think it was at the buzzer at the end of the game (or OT).
I'm sure well see this again later in the year.
Cleveland Cavaliers, Doc Rivers or I think Avery Johnson with the inbounds pass.
Remember it like it was yesterday![]()
Was it the Cavs? Okay, I'll take your word for it, EricB. Maybe I'm confusing another end-of-gamer versus the Knicks with Sean. It's a pretty old school play option but it wouldn't work against a zone. I doubt Dallas or the Lakers would fall for it.
That looks like something Manu would write up
Im not 100% sure, the game I'm thinking of is from 95, pre Pop, so I'm most likely wrong.
You mean Bonner did a very good job on this play? I mean, unless he was currently still running the play as you typed this.
I guess I shouldn't expect good English from everyone.
The play was awesome. The execution was awesomer.
Your English critique? Not so much.
Are you as much of a got as that ass clown in your avatar? You sure seem like a ing stain.
You'd have to understand the context, and you don't. stfu
I think you're right. It was 1995 at Cleveland, the Spurs won with a Elliott dunk. I'm going to check in my old VCRs
