How bout that big Russian center with the weird name: Shovel Kaparsky (some such ) that Dallas got into? What the happened to him?

With this guy size does not matter apparently - he is the anti-Chandler or Darko who both at least deserves respect for getting their games and careers back on track but this clown has not:

Meanwhile seemingly 90% of the teams in the NBA could use at least one decent large backup center and this guy's contract ^ years ending this year apparently*, apathy/lifestyle and lack of defense even when he showed he could have some offensive potential - has apparently turned everyone off.

*LOL he is badly in debt after supporting a lavish lifestyle for him and apparently a lot of hanger ons.
He had potential back in 2002 or so: Led NBA with a career-high .585 field goal percentage (335-573)...First Bull to lead NBA in a major stat category since Michael Jordan in 1997-98 (scoring, 28.7 points) and first Bull to pace League in field goal percentage since Artis Gilmore in 1981-82 (.652)...Notched 10.5 points over 19.4 minutes in 81 games (48 starts)...Only player in the NBA to average double-figure points despite not averaging 20-plus minutes...Career-high 15 rebounds vs. Sonics, Apr. 1; season-high 31 points (14-16 FGA) in season finale vs. 76ers, Apr. 15.

All time?
David Robinson. If he had a heart he could have been one of the great ones.
Good thing Spurs ownership bribe the HOF to get DROB in.
It's just the bitter truth.
This is why the moment 2b lit here I knew, I f'in' knew he was the absolute goods.
Guiseppe and history2b, what a tandem.

The thing where Robinson was chasin' Rodman around with the Bible & smudgepot really set Robinson back. They sided Robinson there when that wasn't the right thing to do.
Why do you insist on being a tool?
Supreme Court Justice Jane Solomon ordered Curry to pay $75,000 a month plus interest on his $570,000 personal loan from Allstar Capital, according to the New York Daily News.
Curry took out the loan in 2008 at 85% interest, a rate that's legal to charge only in Nevada, according to the Daily News.![]()

That right there says it all.
David the Tin Man Robinson is as soft a mother f'er this league has ever seen.
If it weren't for the Magical-Ping-Pong-Ball that bounced his way in 1997 he'd have retired a career loser and the HOF most likely would not have bothered calling in 2008.
I agree tbh, imo, fwiw. This dude got his facts straight.
You know what you should do imho? You create a thread upstairs and spread this knowledge around fwiw, imho, fyi.
I submit Rasheed Wallace. He had enough talent to be the best power forward in the NBA. He just never had the drive and focus on getting better and winning.
Not sure how anyone can dispute this.
If not for Hurricane Hugo destroying a swimming pool, David Robinson would've gone down as a poor man's version of Dirk and Webber.
Atleast neither of them ever got clowned 1 on 1 the way DRob got clowned by Hakeem
Thanks for confirming your true basketball knowledge.![]()
Butthurt Mavs fan? Do you really wanna go there, or are you just doing a leisurely troll thru the NBA forum?
Last game of the season, against the clippers. They were campaigning hard to get him the MVP over Hakeem, and with that performance he got it.
Then the WCF happened, and no one was spared
I know there is some serious Trolling going on here ... but David was a great player. All-time great? I dont see that ... but he did deserve the HOF. Remember he was the POY in college and even though he lost in his first Olympic foray (IIRC), he also has a distinguished Olympic career (even better than tim's) and of course was a key role player for the spur's first two les ... he also has a scoring le and was one of the first great PER guys (he used to always win the Schick award which was a pre-cursur to Hollinger's beloved PER)
Of course we all remember the spanking Hakeem gave him (rightfully so he had his manhood taken) but he was a great player (even if he was a bit soft) and tim would have 2 less rings if not for robinson.
The flipside is that David would have none without timmy ...

David Robinson’s list of accomplishments is lengthy, including rebounding, blocked shots and scoring les to go with the Defensive Player of the Year and MVP award. He is the only player in NBA history to achieve those feats.
The truth is that Robinson was an enigma but very talented and very accomplished and was good enough to start on the 2nd dream team over both Shaq and Ewing and one of the greatest all around athletes to ever play the game. All he truly lacked was the passion and fire of the truly greatest but he was certainly NOT the greatest dissapointment as a basketball player and his off the court accomplishments stand along those of someone like Mutombo in making a true difference.
It's not even really that.
Nobody was winning in the 90's as long as Michael Jordan was in the league, but he never even got them to the Finals as a #1
BUMP (pink & crossed)
