Biggest waste by far is Shaq.

Could have gone down as the GOAT. Now with his lazy ass coattaiing all over the league he is just an embarassment.

From possible GOAT status to barely scratching the top 5 all time in centers

    ...what a waste!

Spurfan gets very sensitive when you mention the Admiral. Fact of the matter is, prior to Duncan the Robinson-led Spurs never made the finals in a conference that was chock fulla opportunity in the 90s. The Bulls were beating a different WC team every year. Lakers, Blazers, Suns, Rockets, Sonics, and Jazz all made at least one finals that decade. San Antonio won around 55 games every year--what's their excuse?

0 finals appearances and only ONE WCF appearance--where they were promptly bukkaked

I agree he could of passed MJ as GOAT ... but with his rings he does not deserve mention here ...

I will say he got by on doing just enough ...and that is why the lakers rightfully chose kobe over shaq.
funny thing is there are STILL Laker fans (and haters) that won't admit this ...

Not sure how anyone can dispute this.

If not for Hurricane Hugo destroying a swimming pool, David Robinson would've gone down as a poor man's version of Dirk and Webber.

Atleast neither of them ever got clowned 1 on 1 the way DRob got clowned by Hakeem
    That's not *entirely* true...

If not for DRob foot injury and successive tank job, we don't land Duncan...
So he definitely had something to do with getting TD...

The Admiral, like Pau, was soft. Great guy, very skilled etc but soft. Not unlike Pau's Kobe, it took Timmy to take Robinson to the promised land.

BTW, something else to consider: Is Dwight Howard on the path to be included in this list at a later date?

Nah, he'll win 2 or 3 rings with the Lakers.

so demanding his teammates forcefeed him the ball all game long so that he could win a meaningless scoring le over Shaq means he has heart?

if that was Dirk dropping 71 on the Timberwolves to win a scoring le over Tim Duncan, every Spur Fan here would be crying about how Dirk is the most classless, selfish asshole on earth, and that it's obvious he cares more about personal stats than winning. But since it was David Robinson that did it, it just proved what a true warrior and terrific human being he was.

Interesting choice but he ws not THAT great in college and never played enough or dominated to be the answer here. I just never bought the hype.

David and shaq had much beter college careers though Oden did make the Final 4 and none of the others did ...

BTW, in DRob's defense he did play in an era with extremely dominant players (MJ, Hakeem, even Baby Shaq). And he managed to stand out.
