When asked about his future plans, Mr. Steele stated he might try his hand at a dude ranch.
He may also get his own cooking show, with his slightly paler younger brother:

Hobo-roller got rolled. Good riddance.
Good news for the GOP indeed. What a tool this guy was...
tool?
he was transparently (oops!) a token black,
"Look here, Americans. We Repugs can do blacks, too"
(... a few weeks after a black was elected to WH)
Or as dubya told the NAACP: "I value the black vote" (not black people).
You can talk about skin color all you want...
I'm merely referring to his abilities or lack of) as chairman of the RNC.
I'm disgusted at the disregard for Mr. Steele's accomplishments and merits that landed him the RNC Chair. You all act like the only thing he ever did was be born black.
Well, he IS black. Whatever, I hope the RNC pick a woman next. With big ties.
It's because he's black. (Oh wait! It appears as though someone I have on ignore may have already played that card. My bad.)
It's because he's was a lousy Chair who squandered the GOP's treasury without much to show for it.
They did just make massive gains in the Senate and House. I don't know how much you could put on Michael Steele but they did do something. That said he was pretty much a tool. I think what annoyed me most about him was how he tried so hard to make himself have street cred. I wasn't born well off, but I have more street cred than he ever will.
I don't see why Republicans say they are against affirmative action when their party chairman and VP candidate were the most high profile affirmative action hires in political history.
He's not much of a Tea Partier, so far as I know.
There were the spending scandals under his watch. Made him appear elitist and out of touch.
And that's what I'm talking about in another thread.
That you believe Steele was an Affirmative Action hire is your racism showing. Steele was a successful Republican politician, elected to office by an electorate. In much the same way, he was elected to the RNC Chair post.
Racists.
nope. i just said boom.
To this:
"I don't see why Republicans say they are against affirmative action when their party chairman and VP candidate were the most high profile affirmative action hires in political history."
yoni thinks blammy makes you a racist against a black man and a white woman.
That makes him different than normal Republicans how?
He probably concluded each scandal with a rakish "Booyah, ez!"
Y'know... elitist.

token black guy goes down
Why would you suggest Steele was a token and, therefore, that he wasn't qualified to be RNC Chair?
