I'm glad that's all he said. I was afraid he would be mad because he dunked the ball when the game was over.
"His butt bone must be made out of steel."
Hahahahhaha

Well at least Pop is having some fun with it too...![]()
Pop: " ...haha in all seriousness though, he's not playing for the rest of the year."
"We're going to use Tiago for spare parts to fix up Bonner if he gets hurt"
Splitter's doing laps and sprint drills in Pop's vast, cavernous wine cellar as we type. Hauling cases in the AM as well.
Tiago got up so fast and had that grin on his face because he wanted to salvage any remaining pieces of his pride.
If he is or was pissed, he wouldn't show it outside the locker room.
That kinda stuff would've been handled internally...
The only thing I saw on that play was Andrew Bogut. That was the immediate image that popped into my head and I cringed when he put that arm down to break his fall.
As for him dunking, the team was getting murdered on the press and I'm pretty sure the last thing Tiago or anyone else wanted to do was dribble out the clock. The Nuggets hadn't called off the dogs (and a rather apt description, if I do say so myself -- and I do), so I don't blame him at all for seeing daylight and making a break for it. And that's exactly what he did -- he sold out on the play because he and that group were still playing with urgency in light of the Nuggets making a run.
Besides, he doesn't need a Nazr moment to find the bench. That's what Matt Bonner is for.
That's ridiculous.
You realize he got pushed? One of several apparent attempts by Nugs to inflict injury.
With Splitter's injury history, I feared that he had possibly bruised his tailbone. Fortunately Pop did that for him with his post-game words. :-)
Tiago was just trying to experience some of the butthurt that his rabid Spurstalk fanbase has going on.
It was a tad funny, but I was very happy he slammed the ing ball!!! Despite it being pointless, I had a woot woot moment.
That was a very nasty fall he took. It's no wonder he was done for the season.
I think Pop would have just been happy they broke the press just once. If Denver were just waiting for them to walk the ball up, that's one thing, but they weren't acting like the game was over, so a dunk is fully in order.
Aside from not hanging on to the rim and falling on his ass, that was a nice break.
I loved Duncan asking if he is alright as the game ends, then looking toward the rim as Tiago walks by and just shaking his head with this "wtf was that" look on his face.
Pop should know better than anybody, as he's "forged" Tiago's steel butt, by sitting him on the bench forever.
had he injured himself, that would have been his career as a Spur.
Stupid finally gets some playing time and ends up almost killing himself. How many more years before Tim retires, anyway?
Hey idiots, if you watch the last minute of the game the Nuggets were scoring pretty easily. Im sure Splitter just wanted to put the nail in the coffin but got pushed during his dunk. Yeah, he'll eat some crow right now but if Pop has any brains (and I know he does) he will get Splitter lots of minutes in the next game to get past this awkward moment. The guy is young, has a good at ude and has plenty of potential. Lets not knock him around.
No. He wasn't pushed. He is just a goober.
I think he just tried to hold onto the rim and slipped... I didn't think anybody pushed him.
It was a goof, and I'm glad he's allright.
