    Louis (Texas)

Is the Spurs 35-6 best record more fragile than it looks? Not taking away from their great play but they faced so many key opponents without top players dallas, denver, celtics, la (w/o healthy bynum) etc, they eaked out 3 OT wins and got a few favorable calls at the end of games (Manu travel vs Milwaukee). Are they really dominant or will things even out?

    Chad Ford, ESPN (1:32 PM)

I think they're pretty dominant. They've played the 9th toughest schedule to date and sit atop Hollinger's power rankings which isn't based more on objective criteria. Subjectively, they have a great group of vets who have done this before, one of the three best coaches in the league, an amazing front office and some surprising depth. While they're not a lock to go all the way, they are for real.

"sit atop Hollinger's power rankings which isn't based more on objective criteria."

? very nice comments by Chad but he got a little mixed up on that one - Hollinger's system is all metrics and supposedly objective.

Meanwhile Louis needs to chill - how many games has Boston also eaked out?

Isn't Louis that obsessive Rockets fan who had been bashing the Spurs since the mid-90s?

He self-banned himself after the last win against the T-pups. The question is what ID is he posting under now?

I think Chad meant to say "which is based more on objective criteria" but just mistyped it.

Get that, Chad Ford is one of the more realistic, less irrational types at ESPN IMO.
