Seriously, there are many quality, intelligent posters and people at large in the world who do not think Kobme is in the top 50 lifetime. They see thru the bull , including the media-marketing driven drivel. He's certainly good, at one time before the collusion of Gasol i hoped his fallout with the Lakers would have resulted in a backcourt of he and Ginobili, with Kobme gaining some maturity and learning from Gino and Duncan how to play team ball thus harnessing his physical skills.

A personal career in the NBA can only be measured by the individual. There's no way anyone else can know how good a career Kobe had. We have to have a measuring stick, some standards. If we use les, then a lot of other players are out. If we use money, a lot of other players are left out. What do we use? Fame? Popularity? Effectiveness on the court? Length of time in the NBA?
I would say the top tier players who don't have severe family and personality issues have about the same career outlooks; retire very wealthy and famous, do anything you like for the rest of your life, leave a bundle for posterity.
