I thought the same thing. Pop was all over Neal after that play for missing a rotation, which led me to think they had practiced defending that type of play before.
Did D'Antoni and the Knicks try to rip one from the playbook of the Spurs (after Pop and the boys ripped it from Karl and the Bucks)?
You know the play, set piece out of the timeout. You get a drive from the left wing to the baseline, 1-2 back screens to seal the corner and then the shooter slides down to the open spot for a corner 3.
I could have sworn I saw him run it with Amar'e as the shooter . . .
Also, tonight marked the Spurs' 17th consecutive home win, their second-longest streak of such in franchise history (tied with the '80-'81 team).
Spurs need 3 more to tie all-time record of 20 straight home wins in one season ('98-'90) but won't have the opportunity to do so until 2/25 against New Jersey. They break the record if they win against Memphis on 2/27, should they beat Houston after this 3-game road trip and OKC upon returning from the RRT 2/23.

Thst was the one Neal got on for missing his assignment but luckily Amare stepped out.
Old Milwakee
I remember when I drank 21 Old Milwakees in one sitting
disgusting.
The Beast used to only cost about $4.99 for an 18. I can't say I remember only one such occurrence.
Old Milwaukee's a beer for s. Try the house brew. It's frickin' grrreaat.
hey got. It's not like I drink that daily of by choice.
Sometimes you have roadtrips and sometimes you need to buy 10 cases.
It's really, really not good. But when you're young, dumb and broke, taste ain't all that important.
$4.99 for an 18 is still $4.99 for an 18. You can get a lot of beer -- but what you don't pay in price you pay for the next morning . . .
Quoting a Jay Mohr stand-up performance, man. Chill
Eh, I'm not usually a beer drinker, personally.
We used to get cases of Country Club 40's for $15. They tasted like & we loved it.
yeah.....
Yeah they did. I can't believe Hitler D'Antoni got so desperate that he tried ripping off the Spurs own play against them...![]()
One of the Spurs rules is you don't help off of a corner shooter. Neal helped baseline when he didn't need to and he left the corner uncovered.
It was the same basic play the Spurs run except I didn't see the screen set by the Big. I don't remember seeing it, anyway.?
yeh pop went into his ass, even on the next play he continuted to get into NEALS ass when the timeout was called.....what neal did was turn around and looked at pop, shades down nealwithit pop
Was it a George Karl play when he coached at Milwaukee or a Scott Skiles play who now coaches at Milwaukee?
Good play actually amare has hit a couple clutch threes against us in the past
