How dare anyone critize manu ginobili, all these things he has done for our team over all these years and you guys complain, shake my ing head.
it's somewhat worrisome. any time you see someone in a slump you worry about how long it'll last. but we're talking about Manu Ginobili here, his skill and talent level don't need to be questioned at this point in his career. shooters go into slumps, i'm confident it'll all balance out in the end and his percentages will even out. i didn't think he would keep shooting the 44% from 3 or whatever he was shooting in the first month or so of the season, and i don't think he'll keep shooting the 35% or so he has the last month or so. it'll probably go back to his career average (around 38-40%).
I'm just grateful to have a team this year where if one of our stars hits a mini-slump, we still can win games! In past years, a bad game by a star and a couple role players meant a loss. This year, it doesn't.
Live by the manu, die by the manu
Your talking about a guy who leads the NBA in Plus/ minus and PER, and has the highest winning % of any current NBA players, Plus is many people's pick as the MVP of the western conference a mid=season http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nb..._report_f.nba/
I can't believe ANYONE can question Manu Ginobili.
It's like questioning Duncan!!!.......oh wait....

Your analysis of Manu is about as objective as Baghdad Bob's analysis of the former Iraqi Army.
Awesome, thanks d228.
what rhyme with ducks! i think you're doing voodoo on him that's why that makes Tony sucks too!
True dat!![]()
While it's true that Manu does have terrible shot selection at times(you can say the same thing about Duncan and Parker though, especially Tim..Manu is the worst for that though), Solid D hit it..
Ginobili's D has been very good as of late..while everybody was riding him at the beginning of the season, and rightfully so, his defense was extremely bad for most of this season..it's obviously tough for older players to consistently play great offense/great defense at the same time, there aren't many perimeter players(or overall players, actually) that can do it in today's NBA..
Just Manu's quotes, hit the link for the whole piece.
How does Manu get his groove back?

..."I’m feeling good,” Ginobili said. “As good as I’ve felt in a long time.”
...“I think even though I’m not shooting that great of a percentage, it keeps my opponent honest,” said Ginobili, the Spurs’ leading scorer at 18.6 points per game. “They know if I’ve got room, I’m going to shoot it.”
..."Sometimes, I settle for bad threes, I know,” said Ginobili, whose best season from 3-point land came in 2007-08, when he connected on 40.1 percent. “It’s been my game for a long time.”
..."I feel confident,” Ginobili said. “Everything feels good. It’s going to come back.”
