I'd be more than happy to give up some of this hustle and scrappiness for some god. damn. TALENT.
Wow.
Jesus , Holmes is one fugly sonuva ...

Wow.
Ehh. There was a foul call every time down the court. Thank god we can hit free throws and K-state couldn't.
FT shooting has saved us all year, it's strange considering how ty we've been in the past.
Btw Dash Harris has to lead the NCAA in dribbling out the shot clock. The guy single-handedly destroyed our offensive rhythm following the couple runs we were able to get on, I cringe anytime he has the ball. If it wasn't for his defense and a complete lack of ball handlers, I don't know how he'd ever see playing time. End Rant
Glad to see the team pull this one out.
That was the most frustrating basketball game I've ever attended. The refs called the game terribly both ways.
I hate to badmouth one of our guys, especially when he seems like a genuinely good guy who tries so damn hard. It sucks that our point guard can't shoot (three's, midrange, FT's) and even misses a good deal of layups (or has them swatted by going right at a 7 footer without trying to use the rim to shield the ball or anything- Holmes does this too).
Next year we'll have Jamal Branch; hopefully he'll make us more dangerous. It's very annoying watching them dribble the clock out and then seeing Harris jack up a shot. I find myself screaming at the TV 'Not Harris! He shoots 20%! Anyone but Harris #%$*!'
Harris came in rated as a 4 star prospect. I don't know how the heck he managed to do that when he can't shoot worth a dang.
The thing that really annoys me about Harris is that he hasn't improved in his 3 years. You look at nearly every other guy on the team: Hibbert, Middleton, Turner, Walkup, Loubeau, etc. and those guys have shown significant improvement year to year. This team is dependent on its work ethic to make up for its relative lack of talent compared to KU, UT, and Baylor.
I just get the impression that Dash thinks he's a really good player and doesn't put in the work during the off-season. It's almost as if being friends with Baron Davis makes him think he's better than he is. I wouldn't really mind his lack of a jumpshot if he was a good finisher or made smart decisions, but he doesn't do that either. I hate to hate, but Dash is the achilles' heel of the team. At least BJ can shoot and make FTs.
I'm really excited to see what Branch will bring next year, cause we really need him.
Agreed. Dash plays excellent defense but he is pretty poor when it comes to everything else. I remember him being better last season which could have been Sloan taking a lot of pressure off of him. I would rather BJ be handling the ball down the stretch IMO. I'm definitely ready for the Branch era to start.
alright guys here's the deal.
im really confident in the UT team this year, so i'll put my confidence to the test.
if UT loses at College Station, ill never post on this forum again (i might lurk but no posting.)
if UT wins, then all the aggies who've posted in this thread need to change their college team skin to TEXAS (including jgw) until a&m can beat them in men's basketball, baseball or football. everyone also needs to put a picture of Lee Corso in their sig until a&m can beat UT in men's basketball, baseball or football. also, nothing bad about UT can be posted to counter the bet - such as corso saying something bad about Texas or anti-Texas slogans in sig. also, no other a&m logos or emblems can be placed in sig unless they were previously there.
any takers?

But we already beat you in football...
this forum is dead already... would hate to lose someone who posts regularly

wouldn't all the aggies that posted in this thread need to agree on such a deal that forces all the aggies that posted in this thread have to change their skins, etc?
im trying to get a general consensus. if three or four agree, ill bite.
couple thoughts...
1) if A&M gets the same treatment t.u. got at home, they'll win. albeit in a single digit victory...t.u. has impressed me
2) your bet isn't all that intriguing, i honestly don't care whether you post or not. i.e. i have no motivation
if A&M loses a close one at home to UT, how much will it affect their tournament seeding?
imo, the biggest motivation for me making that bet and leaving is so i wont ever have to look at that skeleton in jgw's avatar again.
... just got real. you have something against the hottest girl in the world?
i'm not really sure. A&M didn't drop much in the polls, in fact one poll kept them at 11. that being said, losing at t.u. is much different than losing at home. i would think A&M could be as high as a 3 seed and as low as a 6...so, yes i think it matters. don't know how much...it is one game.
Terrible performance against Nebraska, not top 25 basketball. This team has major problems offensively and are a totally different team on the road then at home. Dash is seriously a problem and I don't feel like we go inside to Loubeau enough.
i don't care nebraska is underrated, i don't care it was on the road... ing horrible loss. horrible. #11/13 doesn't lose on the road like that...up 7 at half, lose by 9? ...
kind of feels like A&M has to win this game. i'm less confident than i was a week ago, its still at home and A&M is still capable.
A&M 62
t.u. 61
nobody taking my bet
hook 'em horns #3 in the nation (behind kansas...)
