K-Mart and Corey Maggette also have ridiculous deals. Maggette isn't even picked up in my 12 team fantasy league.$30 mil for 3 years? Ouch. At least KMart is off the books this year.
Who are the most overpaid players in the league right now?
I'm not talking about injuries, because those things are uncontrollable and not necessarily indicative of a player's ability to perform on the court when healthy.
Right now, I have to LOL at Luke Walton and Brendan Haywood's contracts: Luke makes a cool $17 mil over the next 3 years, and Haywood is locked in at $52,000,000 over the next 5. This is the same guy who got bench for Ian Mahinmi last game, a guy who couldn't even make the Spurs roster.

$16 mil over the next 2? That's not horrible for a guy who had as much potential as GO.
Butat your post. You have a point.
Rashard Lewis takes the cake. Vince Carter might come in a close second.
Can't see Charlotte being too happy about the 3yrs/$20 mil left on Desagana Diop's deal.
Ben Gordon's contract is looking pretty ridiculous too.
Carter's averaging 15.5, 5, 2.5, and a steal per game, so at least he's producing something with that salary besides luxury tax revenue.
Hmm..there are a lot
Haywood's last year appears unguaransheed, so you can chop 10 mil off.
Walton is a bit rough, but he had constant back problems.
Joe Johnson is pretty bad at his 6 years, $123.6 mil
Jermaine O'Neal 2 years, $12 mil. The Drain, Ladies and Gentlemen!
DeSagana Diop, 3 years $20 mil. What clown gave him that much money?!?
Antawn Jamison, 2 years $28 mil. tsts
The Ghost of James Posey, 2 years, $14.7 mil. Guess which team he's on..
Trevor Ariza, 4 years $28 mil. Dude is shooting .388 FG and .28 3FG. WOOOOOOOH!
Gilbert Arenas, 4 years $80 mil. At least Orlando got rid of...
Rashard Lewis, 2 years guaranteed $41 mil, 3rd year unguaranteed at $22 mil
Richard Jefferson, 4 years $39 mil.
Elton Brand, 3 years $ 51 mil. He's healthy, i think.
I'm waiting for someone to call Darko's contract bad..

How much Bynum is making these days for the 10/7 ecstasy and being injured half the time?![]()
10 mil is a lot to pay for the 5th best player on your team. Maybe 6th if Blair keeps balling. RJ has been a lot better this year and if he continues to improve defensively I'll be okay with the deal, but he's still pretty overpaid.
Rashard Lewis

Greg Oden's rookie deal turned out to be a turd too, tbh
that tim duncan fella should be on the list also
Brandon Roy. He's owned $82 mil and unfortunately he's a ghost of the player he used to be.
So many bad ones ...and Luke's hurts ...possible upgrades thwarted by his deal. But if we are smart and CBA doesnt totally screw us .. we have agreat expiring in two more seasons IIRC ...
LOL hmm know you trying to be funny, but Kobe's contract:
1. = 2 rings (so far)
2. Highest courtside seats or close (Knicks were close to overtaking last I checked)
3. helped get Barnes, Brown and artest at a discount price
4. helps sell out on the road (helps league attendance)
5. Keeps him home which helps his legacy
Will he be overpaid by the last year (or two)? Probably ...but man the cap-space we wil have then will be lovely ...with new CBA rules...it may end up being the highest expiring in league history ...
Injured's don't count.
So, relax, Kobefans.
Because of lost athleticism, Kobe's at his best when he plays as the 2nd or third option now instead of chucking up shots. Still, getting paid MJ money at 35 when he will be OFF the cliff is hilarious
you my friend are not very bright or must not watch the games especially lately. when has Kobe been a second option? or third option?
As for the money at 35 like i said he will still be able to score ...and thr expiring will be nice to have. Yall talk about a cliff but MJ was still scoring at 35 ...yes i know kobe is not MJ ...but i think he could still get 18 if needed at 35 ...
