ing Toy Story 3 winning anything pisses me off because it was such a terrible and forgettable regurgitated piece of crap. I can't believe its ing up for best picture. Too many damn nominees in that category.

This looks set up perfectly for The King's Speech to curbstomp. Just like the Academy to their pants over some limp wristed British Colin Firth movie.

Not surprised no Blacks were nominated. The Kings Speech was an excellent movie though.

Is there a movie that didn't get nominated for Best Picture? It's absurd they couldn't narrow it down to half that amount.

The Kings Speech is poised to sweep, which is fine with me cuz I love, love, love Colin Firth.

It is a very good movie and you should give it a viewing. I thought Black Swan sucked myself.

I never ed about that and I've never heard anybody else do it either. There are only 4/5 movies that deserve the nomination tbh.

I liked Toy Story 3 a lot, but I think it could be argued that How to Train Your Dragon is better. Neither belongs in the top 10 for 2011 though.

I'm fairly indifferent to Colin Firth (I think he's a good actor, but last year's A Single Man was the first time I thought he was anything special), but The King's Speech was really, really good. Even if you hate Firth, watch it for Geoffry Rush and Helena Bonham Carter (and Guy Pearce, who even in a tiny role remains horribly underrated). They're fantastic in it.

Also, it's silly to get worked up about the Best Picture nominations going up to ten films. Doesn't change much. Probably only five (or fewer) of those have any real chance of winning, but at least something like The Kids Are All Right is honored with a nomination when its early release date likely would have left it out of the running in a different year.

disney pumped alot of money into trying to getting toy story 3 nominated, considering how UP was better than the hurt locker last year . I doubt it stands any chance of winning. But saying it doesn't belong is pretty off base, it was the best reviewed movie of the year

So because other people complain about something we're not allowed to complain if they change it? Thats some pretty stupid logic.

Then again, maybe you were just ing about the ing because you - very obvious by this very post - never .

    Amazing.

I've heard nothing but good things about The Kings Speech...might have to check it out. I always make an effort to see all the movies that are on the Best Picture list at the Oscars, not that it makes them great movies.

I agree with you, I didn't watch this on theaters and when I once got to watching it... I kept waiting for it to end.

There's no way it belongs there.
