You went to four schools?
A fan of a college team, but didn't attend the college. I'm sorta a college . I went to SMU, LSU, Syracuse, and a summer session at the University of Illinois Downtown, but I consider myself a Texas fan. Is this wrong?
Is there anyone here with the same dilemma?
Don't worry, all of San Antonio is in the same boat... T-Shirt fan capital of the world.
Grew up in College Station. Moved to Denton to go to UNT for its "esteemed" journalism school. A&M did away with their journalism program years before.
That, and A&M's a expensive...
woah you didnt go to a&m? craziness.
yeah UT students have alot of animosity toward other college students who rep UT but dont go here. if they arent in college, we dont really care.
surviving the attempt to be weeded out by UT in running the core credit gauntlet is sort of a rite of passage to be a fan.
personally, i only care when UTSA or other affiliated students say they go to UT but leave out the last two letters of the acronym (on purpose).
Yes. When you're a fat in San Antonio who's too stupid and illiterate to attend college, you have no choice but to buy a UT T-shirt at the local gas station and rep UT. When you've actually gone to other colleges (some of which have good DI athletic programs), being a UT t-shirter is worse.
I only think its lame if you graduated from one college and then root for a different one. Dont be ashamed to root and SUPPORT your alma mater.
Some people only support winning programs as well. No matter if they went to the school or not. They jump ship as soon as said U has a bad season. I have seen about 75% less UT gear in San Antonio since UT had a ty football season. Dont worry these fans threw on their A&M T-shirts to continue their support.![]()
This describes 95% of uo fans, who live in trailer parks and get their t-shirts from wally world, but have at best an 8th grade education.
you would think with all the UT shirts and caps you'd see in SA that all of UT's grads came to live here. sadly, they are mostly just UT fans who may or may not have ever even attended any college.
I've met people who do the same thing saying they go to A&M when they really go to A&M Corpus, Kingsville, or Commerce. Somehow I find that more pathetic cause who would really lie about which A&M they attend?

As a former member of the A&M journalism school who switched majors before its death, you didn't miss out on anything. It was mostly a bunch of Mrs. degree seeking chicks asking dumbass questions during the entirety of the lectures. To make matter worse, they weren't that attractive and always highly opinionated.
Pretty much identical to how it is in Texas, tbh.
I kind of understand the animosity, but part of the t-shirt money goes to the athletic program. Makes sense that UT has the highest budget out there.
I never attended UT, but became a fan as a little kid. I attended TAMUK for a couple of semesters, but did not graduate.
You are good to go..............no worries.
Gosh you are funny.
This LOL is so original and funny and never gets old. hahahaha
Yeah. I hadn't heard glowing reviews of the program. I suppose it's not that surprising that it eventually went under.
Still, would've loved to have actually been able to attend and sport an Aggie ring.
Ah, well.
Being a San Antonio native, I'm also a fan of UTSA. And alot of Texas schools. So Basically I'm a fan of Texas schools, especially since I no longer live in Texas.
People like this are the ones who deserve to be mocked.
Then mocked I am lol. But If I could only choose one college team to root for, it would be UT. Now for pro teams, I only have one team I root for in football, basketball, and baseball.
I went to South Arkansas but am a Hogs fan.
Grew up watching film of Marcus Allen, Traveller, and the history of the Coliseum, so when I went there, I got to see all that history and the life was pretty amazing.
