........ Actually 24 years and 364 days.
I remember it vividly. I was in 6th grade science class with Mrs Foster. Coach Gil came in and broke the news to us. We busted out the TV and watched it.
...school teacher Christa McAuliffe and the rest of the crew of the Challenger died when the shuttle exploded. I remember it well.

You are correct, sir. I took the date from one of the photos where the crew was headed to the launch pad and assumed it was today.
i remember a kid in my class saying, "whoa that was cool!", when that shuttle exploded on the tv... the teacher sent his ass to the principal. the deaths sucked, but yeah, the shuttle blowing up was insanely cool.
lol calf tats
Yeah... I was in the fourth grade. I remember a teacher coming into our classroom in tears saying that the shuttle had just blown up. We all went to the cafeteria where they let us watch the news on TV together as a school.
Studied like mad for a chemistry exam, but when we got to school this was breaking news and the teacher let us watch the coverage and just skip the exam.
So...EVERYbody wins!
and the jokes that came from this......
Considering I was born in 85', I still have some memory of the crash. Though I will admit I dont remember alot of details of it.
looks like I'm the only one so far... but I was at work.
