Nash a defensive upgrade over fisher?![]()
let's face it..the guy gave his heart and soul to that team and now they're a rebuilding project. I know it would be a hard pill to swallow but the right thing to do is trade the guy to a le contender given all that he's sacrificed. Personally I think they should trade him to the Lakers...this is the best fit for him. I know it's a long shot but if they trade him to LA based on wanting him to win one before he retires then we give him the best chance.
He and Kobe would be great together even at this stage of his career. He and Pau on the pick and roll would be a thing of beauty.. I think the class of 96 should be reppin in the finals this year and Steve is part of that class... Do It Mitch...
2011 Finals Match-up
Kobe v Allen
Pau v Garnett
Nash v Rondo
Artest v Pierce
Bynum v Shaq
This would be a ratings bonanza for the league...now I could also see him going to Miami and that team with Nash might give Boston some problems...but ultimately Boston still beats Miami in this scenario because it will come down to quality bigs and Miami just can't compete in the paint.
This would be a steal for the Suns...Luke can still play and they'd get a decent point in return in Blake + a great younf prospect in Devin who's going to be great and whatever future pick they want...then after 2 more years we let Nash walk for nothing and pick-up D-Will...Next we trade Bynum for Dwight and Kobe is set for the 10-Peat...![]()

It doesn't matter...Fish will start and they'll split time...but this would be interesting...who closes out games Fish or Nash....Nash is a better no doubt about it...but Kobe would want his boy Fish closing it out with him and it's only fitting it be done that way...but Phil is the Zen master he'd figure some out to appease everyone I'm sure of it...![]()
That would be a good addition. The question would be what would the Suns want in return?
Why would Phoenix want the Lakers trash for Nash?
The whole premise is based on the Suns wanting to do right by Nash...they know LA won't give up it's core including Odom...and surely they wouldn't want Artest...so they help Nash out by settling for Luke, Blake, and Devin...I don't know that they'll get more than this from any other le contending team...if they're going to trade him to a non- le contender then they're basically ing him after all he's done for them...
it's not like they'll be competing against LA so trading him in conference means nothing at this point...Steve is 36 and Luke is 30 so there's still potential and upside the trade scenario I proposed isn't really bad at all if you take out the hype factor concerning Luke...he's actually decent when healthy...lol at least that's how I'd package it...lol
They should want to do right by Nash, but because they would be dealing with the hated Lakers, they are gonna want more than some scrub players and a draft pick.
This as lopsided trade as a tranny with one and one ball on one side.
but the trade checker says it works..at least financially...
but then if they have this at ude are they really doing right by him...don 't take away assets he's going to assist to..they won't get more than that for Nash from a le contender...if you think so give me a team and scenario under which they could do better...![]()
trading nash for trash will a be giant leap backwards for the suns
u dont go spend ur cap in one summer to fill ur team with crap players who rely on gettin feed by nashs PNR, then to trade nash for
so who is going to run the system? tragic?
they already traded for ...listen any team that will trade for "Wince" Carter will trade for Luke Walton...
Let's not get emotional about it...Blake and Ebanks are not trash...Walton is iffy but it's a dam good deal for them...they're starting over with youth and size I might add...
Don't be surprised if you see this hit the mainstream media pretty soon...
Depends if the Suns could find a desperate team to trade with, like, for ex., Orlando. For example, New York is desperate to make to the playoffs and I could see them making a run at Nash, if they can't land Melo. Makes alot of sense for NY to reunite Nash with Stoudamire and D'Antoni and the Knicks would have more assets to offer Phoenix than the Lakers.
typical lakers fan...
already gifted more talent than any other team--but still scared because his team is still sucking balls...
so go back to the collusion bag of tricks ...
just face it-your run is over
live with it
Let me help you out...NY is not a le contender in the east right now...not with Boston and Miami and the Bulls there...we're talking le contenders Nash is 36 he can't just go to a good team that has a chance to make the play-offs he needs a team people feel are in the hunt to win it all... No way NY gives up it's talanted guard for Nash at his age...they're in the hunt for Melo and once that happens Nash will be 37...it's either Miami or LA...
You have the right idea but you have poor ing execution
Nash would be a great backup in New Orleans.
The only place Nash will go is NY to play for Mike D. In that system they would flourish, because the whole "we've been practicing defense for a couple of weeks now" bull is short lived as , and Nash is just the ticket to get them over the hump. The Suns of three years ago would be a powerhouse in the East, but still lose to the Celtics.
I'm going to have to agree with you on the Nash being a good fit for the Lakers, he wouldn't necessarily have a dramatic impact, but he'd be an awesome upgrade from Fisher. The Lakers are going to have to play unselfish if they want Nash to be effective.
But that trade is unrealistic. Nash is their franchise player, & even though it may work financially, that would be the worst trade the NBA has seen in a while, and the Suns would be a team of mediocre players, and would resemble the Cavaliers in the standings.
The Lakers would have to give someone good. who would you prefer?
Exactly what I was thinking. He would also be a pretty good fit with the Clippers too imo.
i think nash would prefer to be traded to a big city with plenty of pussy since his single
The Suns organization owes Steve Nash nothing. This team has had the firepower to win championships for 6 years now and has failed to do it all 6 years.
If we're going to trade Steve Nash, trade him for high draft picks and young talent. Where are you going to find either of those two things on a contending team?
