I want LAL in this game for at least several reasons:
1) Boston is 4 games back in the loss column so drop them back another game with a loss for overall HCA - since LAL lost last night SAS picked up a game in that category already.
2) LAL if it loses to Boston will be like a wounded animal for the Feb and LAL already will want the SAS game - they do not need extra incentives.
3) Mainly though Garnett is such a punk and Boston just is just so damm y for a single championship proven core so feel free to beat their asses bad please.
4) All things considered I love for the still deeper West still beat the crap out of the East most of the time as they still do over 60% of the time.
So for once, Go LAL!
I want dallas to get the second seed with lakers taking the third. If we managed to reach the finals, that will be an accomplishment alone

Sad but true. The two regular season meetings back to the early '80s were a sight to behold. The break thru by Los Angeles in Boston in '85 reset this rivalry and it's never recovered to that pre-'85 intensity.
It's not only that break thru that has diluted it, but, also the rules ins uted by Stern to civilize the rank and file toward each. Americans won't brook the constant real-time acrimony that besieged the league then.
That is better left to professional wrestling which gives Americans exactly what they want:::staged violence. We wouldn't have it any other way.
