So, wait, is Anderson not on the bench today?
Toros comin out haaaaaaaawwwwwwwt!
So, wait, is Anderson not on the bench today?
Looks like Anderson's not playing or on the roster today? Hmmmm. Maybe Pop and the Spurs have seen what they needed to.
whose the asian guy on the torros bench with the coaches? whats his job? assist coach?
or one of them clowns that records down every stat possession? i got a friend who does that for a bettin agency
Per box score, he's not there.
...aaaaaaand *red corner box click*
interesting development here.... i was watching the game trying to get a good look at the bench and couldn't see him.
With Gary Neal out injured, do you guys think he was called back to the Spurs?
Gary Neal is not "out". He's listed as probable.
That's what I'm thinking, as I'm also watching the Toros telecast and don't see any sign of Anderson whatsoever.
This would make sense - especially if Neal is iffy tonight versus the Rockets.
This is Pop we're talking about. Any little injury and a player is out.
Not necessarily. Duncan went down and came back in the 2nd half. It's up to Gary if he can play or not. If he doesn't it will be his choice.
Well Duncan is the exception to the rule. Pop knows it's a long season and he doesn't like to risk it. He's very conservative when it comes to injuries which he should be.
Gary Neal took a little tumble out of bounds. Anderson had a stress fracture in his foot. Who do you think Pop is more likely to be conservative with? Anderson appears to be on his way back from Austin for this game. If that's the case, Neal can certainly play.
@ChuckD, I've already read that today, what's your point? If Gary Neal isn't needed today, he won't play him. He's done it like that for a long time now.
If Anderson is truly ready to go and has indeed been called back, then the timing is perfect in that Pop can really afford to be ultra-conversative with Neal.
Anderson isn't game ready enough to take Neal's minutes, and with Bonner still out, Neal plays.
True. Though, I think the benefit of having Anderson back means Pop will not have to lean as much on Neal, who has been playing slightly more minutes than usual, in the absence of Bonner.
Oh, yeah, Neal will probably have his minutes dialed back, but I think that was going to happen anyway. He's been averaging about 25 since Bonner went out. I think Pop will probably portion that to Neal 15 and Anderson 10 to start with. Eventually, Anderson will scavenge a few from RJ and Manu when he gets in full on game shape. With the B2Bs coming up, Manu's really going to need his minutes managed.
Interesting
