If its decision to start selling groceries wasn't enough of a sign that Walgreens is trying to shake up its image and reach a new audience, now comes news that the drugstore chain has begun selling its own private-label beer.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Walgreens has been rolling out the beer, called Big Flats 1901, in more than 4,600 of its 7,655 U.S. locations.
Since private-label booze is rarely purchased because of superior taste, Walgreens is selling the suds cheap, around $3 for a six-pack and around $11.50 for a case of 24 cans.
