Oh, and that last 12 foot jumper kobe made was stat-padding. It didn't have any real effect on the outcome of the game by that point.

You can't get help from your teammates when you demand everyone to clear out so you can go effectively 1 on 3.

Kobe doesn't deserve any blame at all for this game, he played a fantastic game, tbh..

Kobe only deserves blame because he was part of the team that lost ...

But anyone going to point at him first after watching THAT game are simply Kobe Haters. They tried going to other guys to start the third and the Celts got out their biggest lead.

Even Mark Jackson was saying Kobe should shoot more ...and called out Pau for his soft moves against Baby Davis ...

I still haven't seen any Laker fan answer the question on why Kobe hides out on defense against the C's?

    What are you talking about?
he guarded Pierce when Artest got in foul trouble and Luke was ineffective ...and they had him on Rondo some of the game as well.
    How is that "hiding"?
not his fault Rondo cant shoot outside ...I wouldnt guard him on the perimeter either.

They had Kobe specifically on Rondo the entire time. They only put Kobe on PP when he was already at 30+ and it had nothing to do with foul trouble. The Lakers clearly planned to have Kobe on Rondo and I don't see the reason for it.

Because if he would guard either Ray Allen (Fisher guarded him most of the game) or Pierce (Kobe guarded him in the 4th) for the entire game he would be too spent to do his thing on offense by the end of the game.

It's a sound strategy as long as Pierce or Allen don't go off while being guarded by the other guys. Unfortunately, Pierce did specifically lit up Ron pretty bad.

It just seems unnecessary though. Kobe can still be fine guarding one of the main guys without hiding out. He won't tire.

Ron did a good job vs Pierce last season. I just think he tweaked something so he was moving a lot slower & Luke had to play some more minutes as his backup. Guarding Allen takes up too much energy cuz all he does is run around moving screens all game haha. The big 3 were just all on today, its tough to beat Boston when they shoot as efficient as they did today.
