Yep. One of the greatest portrayals of all time. In the beginning, when he was young, trim, with Paul Bearer, that damn urn & the funeral march score over the sound system.

    Just absolutely choice.

Wrestling completely sucks ass now. Ever since Stone Cold and The Rock have been gone, it just hasnt been the same. Seriously...the Miz and Alberto Del Rio as the main event guys? What a joke. Even the scrubs of back then like Goldust, Gangrel, Edge, and Christian were more entertaining and would wipe the floor with these scrubs like CM Punk, Wade Barrett, etc. of today. The At ude Era was the best time for wrestling, Stone Cold, The Rock, DX, Undertaker, Kane, Mankind.... The only good part about tonights Royal Rumble was Diesel (Nash) and Booker T coming back...

And there was another great act, the Reverend Love, he'd be dressed all in white talkin' about love and kindness and he'd entice some "good guy" to trust him....."I love you".....then just the beat holy out of him.

Piper's Pit was a similar bent. Roddy would entice some good guy to sit down and act like somebody and sure as the guy would end up wearin' the chair he was sittin' on before the first commercial. Good times.

I loved Macho Man Randy Savage backstage interviews. 75% of the time, he was on crack while being interviewed, literally.

Yep, it was all right there, one great wrestling act after another. You take it for granted at the time, thinking it will never end.

Little things: the way Brett Hart would whip off his sun glasses when the Hart Foundation was in vogue, the explosion of energy after a tag during the tag team match, the way the crowd would go almost hysterical when the fake blood would make it's appearance, the similiarities twixt Miss Elizabeth & Kor I. Ellis.

    Little things.

Yup. All the things you said.

Wrestling is now more of a cliche. If the at ude era was to be brought in, everything would change (especially ratings).

Nothing will ever beat the WWF Raw vs. WCW Nitro showdowns of 1996 and on. The formation of the nWo forced Vince McMahon to go to the "At ude Era" and begin his feud with Austin, which was a ing classic story line. It never got old. Stone Cold being fired, coming back to the arena with a gun, destroying Vince's car with a cement truck, drowning Vince, Shane, and The Rock in beer with the beer truck. I could go on and on and on...but that was WWF's finest hour...and now it's a PG show for kids.

Don't watch it anymore, was a fan of the NWO and the wolf pack. After that fell off I stopped watching it. Scott Hall was my favorite, he was hilarious and a pimp at the same time. He would throw a tooth pick in your face, run away, then drop his signature move, the razors edge, on somebodies punk ass.

I went to a wrestling match in those days. I always saw people throw stuff on stage after the end of the show on TV all the time. When the show was over I threw a half full plastic coke bottle trying to launch it on stage. It did not make it, not even close. I clobbered some on her head with that bottle so bad. She was holding her head like it hurt and her raging, huge, bf was pissed off looking around. I my pants and played it off, no way they could tell who it was with the whole crowd. My bro threw a ball on stage and it actually made it, you can see it when they aired it on TV.

This has probably been one of the more enjoyable threads I've seen on here in a longtime, that ing booker t video had me laughing for 5 minutes. I'm guessing everyone in here talking about the At ude era is around 22 years old like I am?

i think mcmahon fcked up when he acquisition WCW, WWE V WCW he couldve milked it, but the h2h only lasted a couple of months, it was lame....so much couldve been done there with story line and h2h matches that everyone wanted to see....

That same guy is just a few posts up when he was rocking the voodoo gimmick as Papashango. I'd say he made a major upgrade to the Godfather.

I don't mind the PG era. It's a good way to bring in new/younger viewers. As soon as the kids who worship Cena get in their teens, then WWE will start the at ude era again, imo.

I was really hoping that Booker T would have eliminated at least some of the Nexus, or stayed in the match a litte bit longer. And why did every compe or rush the ring while Nexus was in control? They should have waited the 90 seconds to let someone else come out and join forces instead of going 1 on 4 against Nexus.

To me he looked like he was going to cry before he hit the "Cobra" on Alberto Del Rio.

Santino is always good for a laugh.
