It's obvious Pau is fed up of Kobe's antics.
Kobe has a habit of running your MVP bigmen out of the organization. Kobe = worst teamate in the history of the modern league
I'm not gonna pick on Artest because he's has a low IQ we already know that...Bynum is good as gone when Dwight's contract is up so I'm gonna leave them out of this conversation for now...but
It's painfully obvious that Gasol has checked out on the team. Next time just look at his play, hustle, and positioning on the court... He's Quit because he can't be the man. He doesn't take responsibility for any of his actions on the court instead he blames Kobe every time for no ball movement yet again and now I kinda want this euro got gone...
He wants more touches but his shot selection is . How many times have we witnessed Kobe force feed him the ball in an attempt to make him play aggressive and Pau doesn't respond. The truth is we'd a lost by 39 again if Kobe forced feed him like he always does. Everytime we went away from Kobe ball Boston took advantage of Pau's weakness...Pau played 39 minutes and per his min played was out rebounded by old man Shaq. In fact Pau was out-rebounded by every single Boston Big yesterday and manhandled by Big Baby...
The Best synopsis I've heard:
Here's basically the break down of the game
First half:
Team ball - down 9 points
Kobe ball - up 6 points (before odom's stupid foul)
Second half:
Team ball- down 5 points after 3, down 9 in the 4th
Kobe ball- cut lead to 4
Then bigs start pouting, stop fighting for position, stop rebounding, stop playing D
Celtics blow game open
Gasol - "[The offense] wasn't run very well tonight. The ball didn't change sides of the floor as we spoke about during the pregame," Gasol said.just like he did in 08 by saying that KG was getting the better of him because of spacing on the floor and Phil shot back: "It's not about spacing but about Pau recognizing the defensive schemes being played on the court."Gasol - "It's not a good thing when you finish with 10 assists," he said. "When the assists are 20-plus, it's always a good sign because it tells you that you're sharing the ball, you're finding the open man, and the open man is hitting the shots. "That didn't happen tonight."
Now this got wants to blame Kobe for his ups...but Phil Jackson ain't having none of that...
Start watching at the 2:10 mark. They asked Phil was Kobe shooting too much and Phil basically says: "No, no one else wanted the ball or took advantage of opportunities they had so he did what he had to do."
Look at this got he has the look of a quitter:
It's obvious Pau is fed up of Kobe's antics.
Kobe has a habit of running your MVP bigmen out of the organization. Kobe = worst teamate in the history of the modern league
Could turn into a storm, ala Magic & Nixon.
Ugh.
Though Gasol couldn't win a single playoff game till Kobe took him in.
You can float that if you wish that's not my argument...I hope Kobe runs Pau off we've gotten a couple les out of him and now he appears useless...It must be a Euro thing...I'd take Nene at this point over Gasol...did you not hear Mark Jackson and JVG yesterday...they said the Lakers came to play but their Bigs don't look like they want to play."
Kool Aid Man
I hope it does it...it looks as if we're gonna have to ing beat some toughness into this Gasol prick...We need controversy at this point we haven't had any for a while...we need it...
And Bynum is afraid:::afraid of the 3 second call, afraid of the offensive foul, afraid to shoot anything but a jam. It's uncomfortable watching him.
No, Kool. This isn't gonna be that easy and pain free. If there is an upheaval (ala Kobe & Daddy) we'll have wreakage from one end of the runway to the other. Putting the pieces back together won't be orderly.
agree...bout as uncomfortable watching that Kobe rape / apology interview...
Bynum has no pride in himself at this point...Both him and Pau have a false confidence that they haven't earned. Seriously they're getting owned on a nightly basis since the first 2 weeks of the season...Bynum has to have his feet set within 3 ft of the basket to make a shot...He has no real paint moves if he makes a shot at this point it's pure luck while Gasol is playing the role of saboteur....Gasol can only score in the post on guys who are 6-7 or shorter...this is unreal...I've lost every ing money bet I made on this s...and I lost quite a a bit...this has never happened to me...![]()
One must question the underlying motives of Jackson here going forward now. Is he still flat-earred and holding grudges against Bryant after having to come back begging for his job after he was jackassing for months over Kobe? Is his imminent retirement a chance to the bed and "get even" with Bryant & Buss for Buss siding Bryant at that last bruhaha?
Fine thread, Kool. I got a sad feeling that you're preemtively accurate here.
Pau is playing on the Kobe vs Shaq history because he knows Kobe will take a blow to his image if there's a Kobe vs Pau showdown..but I say his image it's already shot...the people that don't like Kobe now never will... so get that 6th ring and every one else be dam... em all is my motto...Pau need his ass kicked... I wish someone would literally ing punch him on the court in front of the world and make him have to man up I want to see just how pink his pussy really is...
Jackson will be the bell weather to watch now as this event unfolds, if Kool's warnings are confirmed.
He failed Daddy & Kobe during their blood feud. It's in bent upon him now to make this right without a 52-card pickup again.
Bynum and Gasol need to be the constants, not Kobe. However, it is plausible that Pau is getting fed up with Kobeball, as last year Kobe when Kobe became the Lakers all time leading scorer, Pau said afterwards "Now we can focus on winning." And now the quote about sharing the ball, he's GOT to demand the ball. Bynum looks like a big goofy ass kid who just doesn't give a
Kool, hittin' on all cylinders of a Monday morning. No jive. No BS. Just the ing goods.
It'd be diabolical of Gasol, but, he ain't no mook.
I think teams are finding out how to guard Gasol. You start off by pushing him around and being very physical, and then he goes into passive mode, forcing Bryant to resort to chucking.
It's kind of shocking to watch his decline against elite teams, really. If it continues, I have to wonder if Pau can continue to be considered a top tier PF.
It's been a strange season thus far to say the least. I really expected the Lakers to dominate the West this year and instead the Spurs are raping ass and the Lakers are 7.5 games out of first.
While I do relish in the abysmal status of the Lakeshow and the feelings of doubt and worry amongst their fanbase...it's not going to be as fun ting on the Lakers in May when they aren't even playing like a contender. Come on Purple/Gold, there's way too much talent on that team, get ya'lls together
Cul I don't believe Jax is the culprit here...I think he's let bygones be bygones when it comes to Kobe...I think he's actually helped Kobe quite a bit and is riding for him at this point and I believe this is what has Pau so upset. Pau has a high IQ he almost became a Dr. so while I don't question his intellect I question his manhood...Pau wants a close relationship with Phil but Kobe his standing in his way. Pau may have read Phil's book blasting Kobe and actually thought Phil really meant all that ...Phil was trying to sell books before he thought Kobe would actually want him back...
what Gasol doesn't realize is that Phil is from the old school and his loyalties will end with Kobe...He's been through the wars with Kobe while Pau is the new kid on the block... it's deeper than we think...Pau wants LA to be his but he has to take it from Kobe like Kobe took it from Shaq but the difference is Pau is a Euro and has no fight in him...
The only solace would be we'd be sitting at the end with 28 other last place entrys.
At least you got those 16 Larry O'Brien's, eh Cubby?
Cubby, does any team in the West actually scare you?
& I too don't have any proof that Jackson is the culprit. I just know human nature, and most people would be seething if they wrote that book and had to come back and eat . Then to have the guy that you ripped in the book grant you grace is upon first blush a godsend for Jackson, but, then over the years he may be realizing that Bryant owns his ass (that reversed he, Jackson, would never forgive and forget as Bryant did) and he may be holding a grudge over it. Just a scenario I've concocted. Just a hunch.
Yeah, every one that makes the playoffs.
