They had us on ropes once again. Not like '84, yes, but, cruisin' the neighborhood a wee bit after '08. But, like Magic in '85---Kobe in '10 threw a Baby Ruth into the pool and just like that=POOF!...we got straightened out.

It's usually below Kevin Garnett to taunt an opponent.
Actually, no it's not. KG is known for rubbing it in the face of all manner of opponents. Postgame, sure, he'll be the first guy to offer you a handshake, win or lose, but during the game? All bets are off. Especially if you happen to be a 6-2 point guard who wasn't born in the continental United States.
So when word leaked out that KG was planning to wear a stylized ANTA-brand shoe that threw Boston's all-time record (152-120, as pictured above) against the Los Angeles Lakers, in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers? Well, it's pretty typical.
And it's pretty cool. Kudos to KG for putting himself out there like that, especially as Sunday's hyped-up contest against the defending champs is in Los Angeles. If the 2004 MVP has a less than stellar time out, he's going to be on the hook.

Bowen did some sketchy stuff, but he never did anything out of spite. KG's momma didn't raise him right, & my guess is he didn't have a daddy, because if he did, he'd know that men aren't supposed to put their hands anywhere near another mans junk, even if it's out of spite.
What exactly does this mean?..why are the situations between the 2 players, different?..
Hitting a person in the junk made be unmanly, but putting a foot under a jumpshooter is worse.

I'm not making excuses for Bowen's overly-aggressive kind of defense, I simply said he never did it out of spite, and that he never had an interest in hitting another man's junk. & I don't agree that Bowen was a dirty piece of player, I think he was a fantastic defender, who sometimes was too aggressive.So that makes it better to be a dirty piece of player?

Bowen's "scissor kick" defense (presumably to greatly increase the chance of the opposing player landing on his foot and rolling his ankle) is infamous. He was a dirty defender, and it almost certainly helped us win games.
I'd argue Bowen is even dirtier than KG. KG isn't known to employ the "foot defense" too often. Bowen did it numerous times throughout his career.
Next to Duncan, Bowen is my favorite player of all-time, and even I would say that anybody that doesn't think he was a dirty player is delusional..
It's easier to laugh at the consumate NBA carpetbagger who had to go elsewhere as a 3rd option to finally ring. I don't really differentiate between Garnett and someone like Antoine Walker. He's also one of the early NBA "fake" tough guys. How lame are you when Matt ing Bonner sends you running with your tail between your legs?
Garnett actually led the Celtics in scoring and FGAs during their 2008 le run, while being the defensive anchor..far from a 3rd option..
