Certainly is for the NBA forum of late. Kind of funny that the most civil thread in a long time is about guys hitting each other with steel chairs.

Or, that real painful wrestling hold of raking their finger nails on their opponents back.

Or, that one where they held their opponent's face to the top rope and then slid their eyes across the entire length.

Or, when they'd slam their opponent's face into the turnbuckle 10 times, but, after the nineth the opponent would resist & refuse to finish the 10 count, instead would reverse the predicament.

My favorite was the whole "Step across the person's back" move. My dad showed my bro and I how to do it, and it was a staple in our arsenal. That and the backbreaker were easy-to-fake moves for kids that still looked decent.

The glory days. Savage and his feud with Steamboat was just classic material. Both men in prime condition of their youth. Went on for like 5 years. They had it down so fine. They couldn't even keep the match going too long at live events because the emotions of the crowd were so high pitched. It was an incredible time.
Now that was the ...i was very young ...but man that was as legit a rivalry inthe world of scripted sports "entertainment"

Another fave was the feud between former Governor (and Predator actor) Jesse the Body vs. "chico" santana ...LOL

Jesse got away with some that would of been considered racist by today's standards ...

I was a fan of : Steamboat, Macho man, o Santana, Jimmy supafly snuka, the junkyard dog, the British Bull dogs, Jake the snake and young Brett the hitman ...(forgot his tagteam partner around then)

The Montreal Screw Job at the 1997 Survivor Series was tough to watch. I felt bad for Bret Hart getting shafted like that by Vince in his hometown. I know Hart didn't like his character role and was leaving to WCW, but it shouldn't have ended like that. That was a horrible moment as a wrestling fan.

I know he and Vince had that WM match last year and added closure to it but still.

And of course Ultimate Warrior i wa snever a Hulk Hogan fan, (like Cully) he had no great moves and his persona seemed the fakest "hulking out" ...Loved when warrior just came in a whupped ass didnt say much ...kind of like wrestlings version of Mike Tyson ...

But i never got in to the rock, or stone Cold of any of that ...once I was in college I pretty much ignored wrestiling. Im my ealry 30's so I grew up in the 80's era so that is where my only memories of RR, WM SS come from ...I stopped watching during the first reign of the undertaker ...

You missed out on the peak years. Yes 80's got them to that point but WWF will never be greater than the at ude era.

You also missed out on an epic Iron Man Match between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. HBK won the wwf le for the first time ever.

I was a huge Ultimate Warrior fan growing up in the 80s! Does anyone remember "Warrior" or "Renegade" or whatever the his name was from WCW? I could never figure out if that was the same dude or a terrible rip off...

Also, loved playing the video games and refusing to pin anyone unless I put them down with the signature finishing move Bam Bam Bigelow was the in that one game that was more of an arcade-style fighting game (his fist would look like fire with hard punches)... can't remember which one that was but I had a blast playing it.

Stopped watching around 2000 or after about a year or so after the whole NWO thing died down and DX was played out.

Speaking of which, another underrated aspect of that era was the announcing. JR and the King formed one of the best announcing duos there was, besides maybe Bobby the Brain and Gorilla Monsoon.
