Talking about whoring, Edwards d his wife's cancer like a meth head down on Rundberg Lane. (<<Austin Reference)
Some more of that new "civility," I see.

But, you said she "forced" herself into the national discussion.
Yes, she has a stupid comment and criticism for everything. Not even Bush is doing this.

No one has to broadcast her stupid comments. You're not forced to read, watch, or listen to them. I don't get where you can claim she's "forcing" herself into the national conversation about anything.

Frankly, the only time I hear about anything she says is when liberals about it on the internet or when she posts it on her Facebook page, which I follow.

Edwards didn't have his own reality TV show and force his way into the natinoal discussion on every political point.

He also didn't publish national congressional hitlists like Palin.

No, he was too busy having a love child (kinda like Obama) while his wife was dying (RIP) of terminal cancer. But, at least he wasn't getting his name trademarked.

Actually, I think she just wants people to quit threatening her and her family; quit accusing her of inciting violence; and, just go about their business.

I don't recall her ever asking to be left alone or of her claiming she wasn't seeking the limelight. She's been one of the most accessible politicians in modern times.

I really think your gripe is with the media and liberals that just can't seem to stop talking about her.

pitbull and her daughter "do as I say, not as I did" are celebrity businesses whose priority is making money, not running for office./[/url]
    I don't think you're quite correct...

Here's a quote from Sarah Palin when she resigned from office, which is humorously fitting for this forum:

Let me go back to a comfortable analogy for me - sports... basketball. I use it because you're naïve if you don't see the national full-court press picking away right now: A good point guard drives through a full court press, protecting the ball, keeping her eye on the basket... and she knows exactly when to pass the ball so that the team can WIN. And I'm doing that - keeping our eye on the ball that represents sound priorities - smaller government, energy independence, national security, freedom! And I know when it's time to pass the ball - for victory.
The analogy is much more informative than what politicians are supposed to say. It clearly illustrates that Sarah Palin is a puppet; a player on the Republican Team, and that she is resigning because she can help her party better with other means.

Another example of this is Mike Huckabee. After losing to John McCain in the 2008 republican primary, he became a pundit for Fox News. They all have the same agenda, with no actual individual thought -- their actions and opinions are predetermined by their party's political interest.

I didn't expect you to get it. You're just as stupid. Somehow you and Palin believe Obama already knows exactly who is going to be the next leader of Egypt and is obligated to share his psychic knowledge.

I wasn't the one calling for it out of one corner of my mouth and demonizing my opponents out of the other. your new "civility."
....I’m not posting this because I care what you think of me or my opinions. I’m posting this because I care what I think of me and my opinions. And, honestly, I’m sick and tired of the threads, in which I engage, devolving into snarky, vituperative, and hateful flame wars that no longer resemble reasonable debate and that usually stray so far from the original topics they end up a hundred-page hate fest.

I accept fully my disproportionate role in that happening. I have done all those things; snarked, mocked, insulted and name-called my way through a thread. I’d like to believe I don’t usually instigate the devolution of our discussion but, in reality, I’m sure I do it more than my share. There are many posters in this forum, with whom I vehemently disagree on almost everything but, who refuse to get in the gutter when the rest of us roll off the curb of civility. And, there are others who, while occasionally lapsing into insult, generally maintain a respectable tone. I applaud you and hope to, in the future, emulate your demeanor. I won’t always be successful – I’m emotional and passionate about some things – but, when I fail, I hope to eventually be sufficiently humble enough to bring my temperament back around to civil discourse, apologize, and set about re-engaging in the legitimate debate being had.

For those I’ve offended in here, I sincerely apologize. Personally, I don’t believe it’s possible to be offended by the words of others with whom I have no relationship but, I recognize and accept there may be those of you who do. And, for those who think I’m being insincere, even now, I guess future behavior will either be your justification or my vindication. We’ll see....
    I guess we saw....

Palin says Obama's policies have U.S. on road to ruin

Republican Sarah Palin said on Friday an explosion of government spending and debt under President Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats had put the United States on "the road to ruin."

Obama Besting Palin In Deeply Republican Tennessee

President Barack Obama would beat Palin in Tennessee in a hypothetical campaign matchup, despite the president's approval rating of just 44 percent in the state.

Forty-two percent of respondents said they'd vote for Obama, while 37 percent said they'd pick the former Alaska governor, the Tennessean reported on Monday. This, in a state that hasn't gone for a Democratic presidential candidate since Bill Clinton in 1996
