I honestly don't understand why this schedule is so rubbish.

We played on February 3 against Lakers and on February 4 against Kings (b2b)

Then after 4 days off, on February 8 we will play against Pistons and on February 9 against Raptors(b2b)

The after 1 day off, on February 11 we will play against Sixers and on February 12 against Sixers(b2b + 4 games in 5 nights)

Due to RRT, we're playing all games in away and what a meaningless schedule it's. 3 back to backs in a row, 4 away games in 5 nights. It's really rubbish.

It could be worse. Those B2B's could be against elite teams. I am grateful that they are mostly against lower tier teams. Maybe they won't have to work so hard and still stay fresh.

Meanwhile LAL plays the least back to backs in the league (15) and also has those 2 unreal road trips to the Staples Center each year. Go figure.

More time for JA, too. Manu's minutes will need to be managed if he's to be effective at the end of the RRT, let alone at the end of the 5 games in 7 nights that starts tomorrow.

Spurs have 18 back to backs this year with I believe 8 remaining; including 1 with LAL and another team the last 2 games that probably will be Pop's sit all 5 starters and chill games so lets get 2 more out of way with some relatively easy teams.

I also believe in the long run that this stretch is key to developing BOTH Splitter and Blair (who also needs more minutes as a starter) while Bonner recovers.

I personaly would not mind if Pop just rested Duncan an entire game but hope it is not Feb 12 vs. Wizards as I am going to that game (but if he does Spurs can still beat the Wizards - who play a little better at home but are still overall a pathetic team)

Meh, you have a point, but considering we get 4 days off right now, and the All-Star Break coming up, I'm okay with this section of our schedule.

The schedule is Stern's strategy to ensure a Lakers-Heat final. But so far it backfiring.

Since when have Spurs had an easy schedule? Rodeo Road Trip has always been brutal with b2b's.

That's a brutal stretch of games.

Not stressed about it, the Spurs will be okay, but the Lakers might have a problem and then make a little trade here or there.

Lakers won tonight, and even the season series with the Grizzlies 2-2, which could have huge implications for the 8th seed tiebreaker. Celts lost to a really crappy Charlotte team that had SJack tossed in the first half.

    LOL Celtics

Or even just teams with winning records. All the teams we play are pretty poor quality. Not only are they Eastern Conference teams, but they all have losing records (with the exceptions of Chicago, Portland and LAL).

Gotta remember though that Philly and Washington are both pretty good sides at home - especially Philly recently.
