neat story bro, it was a little different than the original posts you and bo mallete made though. why did you have him edit his post to a bunch of smileys?

lol @ an urban planning major getting all high and mighty thinking he's just going to walk right into grad school for aerospace engineering. newsflash brah, there's a reason that they offer a bachelors degree in that field first. keep thinking you could make it whenever your hardest classes thus far are sophmore level macro and micro

oh and LOL @ you thinking i got all the time in the world to just cater to your schedule whenever you happen to be in the dfw..you realize how far in frisco is from me? and bringing a 6'8 scro with you just in case on the off chance anyone decided to show up..that's funny. you're going to need more than a slightly large white boy if you wanna with this, real talk. not that i'd do anything besides hoop and with you a little bit about being the mookie crews baby ..unless of course you wanted to talk like you do on here, which you wouldn't in real life anyway

have no idea scrah. bo malette has been stalking me lately...kind of ing weird tbh.

my grandpa was the personal doctor for the chimps they shot off in space...had his finger degloved by an ape. they had to chop it off.

he introduced me to several astronauts - all of which offered to write me a recommendation letter to get into an aerospace program. a load of people go into engineering for grad school when they did something completely different in undergrad.

being in the air force helps too.
you dont need to have prior experience in engineering - just good grades, pedigree and test scores. go big or go home.

i just offered a pickup game for my e-bros. no need to be hostile. i speak real talk, but im also generous. ill offer to blaze and chill because i know my strength. im a blackbelt...been to the state compe ions several times, and offered to go national but didnt want to pay the airfare. right now im trying to master the "evil eye" that knocks your ass out while i stare at you and maneuver the energy around your aura. that tai chi is supposed to take years to master though.

honestly, youre my favorite out of the mav krew because you talk real, and youre so interested in all the things i do.

don't hate because m>s challenged me to an e-peen contest.

him traveling all over the world and with his nurse made him real high brow. he even said everything in his life>mine. come on dude, there's always someone doing the same (if not better), so dont feel all high and mighty about getting your donkey kong jr math certification.

seriously, he can't do all those long term goals without making some sacrifices first.

that's why im planning to join the military for four years out of college so my grad school and phd will be paid for.
its pretty awesome because the eagle scout medal is the only civilian medal allowed to be worn on a military uniform, and i happen to be the only eagle scout out of my troop. to be an eagle scout, i had to spend two weeks living by myself in Big Bend. crazy to think i was in boy scouts since being a little tiger cub scout. my brother calls me the Last Eagle Scout (great movie, btw).

honestly, i believe all people (half-chinese, native american/mexican, etc.) should have compulsory service. i should probably wait until then to get my pilot's license, though, since the air force (if i decide that route) will allow me to get it. flying those jets is going to be pretty kickass. who knows? most astronauts are eagle scouts. i could be next if i decide to go into aerospace engineering for grad school.

i was voted the south texas specialist player of the year when i played football in high school, so my physical capabilities are certainly there. im just wondering if i will be mentally able. its alright though because ill be paid thousands a month to sit on an airforce base until my 4 year term is up...then its off to get my phd (hopefully in archaeology, if not then ill do urban planning or aerospace engineering).

my girlfriend thinks i might be doing too much, but im not planning anything long term yet. she'll get whatever job she wants in architecture (she's interning with a firm that has a studio named after it at UT), and she's the great great granddaughter of Mrs. Baird, so her family (and her) are set. they have a lot of money. her dad even offered me a job, but i said no thanks, id rather travel.

i probably shouldnt be saying all this, but ive been celebrating a GREEN BAY PACKERS victory over the pussy stealers tonight, so with a brew in hand, i have no problem discussing how hard ive worked over the years.

it's almost like the stealers showed up to the game but refused to get out of the car in fear. ive planned my life on showing up AND playing. good luck to all yall. i hope you plan on doing the same.

as real as m>s is from Oak Cliff and shops at Sam's.

seriously - my philosophy is that people have kids so that their kids can accomplish what they weren't able to. since i dont plan on having kids, i feel the necessity to accomplish everything.

and yes, dos equis is my favorite mexican brew (i was drinking some last night, as a matter of fact) other than negra modelo. i dont always drink modelo, but when i do, i have a plate of cheese enchiladas with it.

Kind of a dumb philosophy. That's like me saying my philosophy is that everyone who has to spell out online how awesome their life is going to be really has no friends.

People usually have kids because they want kids. (Or they didn't use protection.)

but i understand you need to cater to your woman and i respect that. dont let her get too far from you. buy her one long stemmed rose, and treat her out to a nice dinner. you dont need to blow too much cash on her, or else she'll think youre getting soft. good luck .

Yes, active duty. And I'd have to know more about you before I could give you a recommendation letter, but assuming all pans out, sure. Not
sure how much weight it would hold since I'm a relatively low E-6.

You'd be going officer, right? Would you be going OTS or Academy? What kind of career field? If you're going for a flying job, you might want to look into seeing if you can pick what type of plane you fly. Jets are obviously more fun than personnel transports.

id be OTS since im earning two undergrad degrees right now. theyd have me out in 14 months, right?

honestly im looking to fly the next generation rocket spacecraft. what type of experience would i need to get that gig?

George W Bush said that my generation will be the one to land on Mars. thats a once in an eternity opportunity - taking Mars' virginity, you know? id dedicate my life to that chance, really. just between you and me, id plant the Texas flag right after the American one .

that's if archaeology and urban planning dont work out for me. or maybe i can fit all of them in. who knows in this day and age...

and would it be a good idea if i cite m>s analysis to the recruiting officer? seems like a tough battle out there - sitting in a patrol vehicle (instead of flying it), scared out of your mind. maybe if i play hardball with him, you know - real talk like how m>s does it - i could be stationed where i want to be. with your help, of course.

    You got me, I'm enlisted.

The best thing to do would be to go online to the USAF website and see if they have a contact number for AFSPC; that might be a good starting direction. Another would be to talk to an AF recruiter about it.

Obviously, something like that would have limited slots available, so you'd need to be a hot candidate AND get lucky. And when you're enlisting, make sure you get whatever job you want in writing, written into the contract and everything.

and would it be a good idea if i cite m>s analysis to the recruiting officer? seems like a tough battle out there - sitting in a patrol vehicle (instead of flying it), scared out of your mind. maybe if i play hardball with him, you know - real talk like how m>s does it - i could be stationed where i want to be. with your help, of course.
Officer and enlisted may share some circles, but they're two different worlds. M>S was probably talking about an enlisted guy.

Don't think you'll get to pick your base though . And even if you do get a base you like, you'll move around more as an officer than enlisted... usually three years at the max.

Also, it depends on your AFSC. If you end up being some space jockey, they won't waste all the time and money they spent training you just to deploy you somewhere you can get shot at. We're not the Army.

    ???
dude that didnt make any sense whatsoever.

anyway, i just got off the phone with my godfather whos a prestigious medical doctor. he reminded me that i had forty-two holes blown in my underdeveloped lungs when i was a baby, so it hampered my lung development.

that, coupled with with my poor vision and staff infection in my eyes, would disqualify me from doing anything remotely adventurous.

any suggestions? would it be a good idea to falsify my claims and just go for it? or would i have to settle for taking a job at Mrs. Baird's bread?
