At some point this past Saturday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was getting the key to a city. Not from Philadelphia or Atlanta or his hometown of Newport News, Va.
He was getting the key to the city of Dallas.

I will admit I not an animal am not animal. I don't like what what Vick did to the dogs and yes, I believe he should have went to prison for it. That said the disgrace in all this is that idiot mayor pro tem gave the key to Dallas to a ing rotten sleazy loving diseased Philadelphia Eagle.

I don't understand. This guy has done horrible things and after his whole scandal, he is so popular. His negative image was turned into a positive one in half a year.
Yet, a guy like roethlisberger, who wasn't even charged or went to prison or anything, is bashed to the ground and hated and seen as a terrible rapist.

BR on the other hand hasn't been charged, but there are inconsistencies surrounding his cases. They could be completely innocent inconsistencies, but that isn't what it looks like to the public.

Yeah, you are right. But at least with Vick it is known that he is guilty. It's known what he has done. So there is a reason for people to dislike or hate him because of it.
With roethlisberger, we don't know . He could also be innocent. We don't know what he did or if he raped or whatever he did. It could also just be a dumb who wanted money or attention out of the situation. There is still no real reason to hate him because of it. We don't know.
So Im just amazed at how Vick has already lost his negative image and why everyone has embraced Vick again even after all the horrible things he has done while everyone has been bashing Roethlisberger after something we don't even know what happened, and he very well could be innocent too. Roethlisberger will never lose the negative image.

The problem with rothlisburger is that he never went to trial. There is no closure like there is with Vick. Additionally, BR had multiple allegations of the same type over a long period of time. This serves to put the average fan on edge since he didn't pay for these alleged multiple crimes and Vick did pay for his.
Edit: Finally actually read the story, what a dumb thing to do. Have him speak to the kids and tell them all that he did and how they should be different. Then thank him and send him on his way. I don't remember them giving keys to the city to the cops who came and talked to my school about drugs.
