Sources say that Jim Buss recently rejected a Bynum for Carmelo deal, much to the dismay of Kobe and Phil

Thinking about it more good move by Buss tbh, they'd have a frontcourt of Melo/Pau/Artest/Odom/Joe Smith/Ratliff and Caracter. They'd have no trade assets to ship for a starting C and a Gasol/Smith/Ratliff rotation at the 5 would get skull ed by most frontlines.
PG you posting old tweets with no links...you know that was his position before recent these recent trade discussions....that is an old tweet so stop fooling the masses...
however...LA is prolly being used as negotiation leverage...I just hopes it gains traction...glass knees Bynum ain't gonna get it done...we'll still be able to get Howard with this deal...we'll just have to do it around a package of Odom and Artest...

Jim Buss was the guy who was the mastermind in drafting Bynum. Nothing to see here
it's better than what NY is offering...they're literally throwing at Denver...Wilson ing chandler, some other scrub and pick...
I'd take the Bynum deal...![]()
bynum is the next magic they must be bummed
What would you (realistically) give up for Melo? Would you do Bynum/Odom? Bynum/Brown? Bynum/Barnes?
Bynum and a small no Bynum and other Big....Bynum/ Brown works for me...
They're going to be playing without Bynum anyway, he's bound to get hurt any day now. Might as well get a player like Melo rather than there just being an empty hole there.
This just in...Bynum's hurt again!
Smart move by LA. They aren't stupid. They know this trade makes that frontcourt weak as .
This trade is somewhat debatable when Bynum is healthy like he is now.
If that kid has another injury between now and the end of the playoffs everyone will be talking about passing up on this supposed deal.
I would be concerned about the lack of size in the middle if the trade were to happen and would expect the Lakers to address that issue with another trade.
Nuggets just trying to use the Lakers as their to get the Knicks to the alter.
history would you keep flying over the pond to England in plane who's engine could fail at any moment...at some point in time the risk is just not worth the reward...Get a new plane and plug in where you need to... bring Shawn Bradley and Greg Ostertag out of retirement if you have to but get this deal done...
Buss will eventually cave in because Phil and Kobe won't stop ing.
His father fired Westhead because Magic didn't see enough high fives![]()

Haha, no I agree. It is something I've been concerned with all season too. Melo is the kind of player that is worth it because he is a bonafide star but I'd still need some kind of reassurance that Artest and or Luke will be moved for a bulky defensive type. Kendrick Perkins would be perfect actually.
This is a deal that makes LA worse, but they have to take it if it is really just Bynum for melo.
21 Blessings is con uous by his absence in this thread.
Honestly, are Laker fans ing insane? Did the Gasol trade just completely warp their minds re: trade impossibility or what?
do it mitch.
I can just imagine Melo's face when Kobe takes the last 12 shots of a game.
most of them don't realize that the NBA gifted them Gasol and now that Beans on his last legs, Stern is shifting his focus to getting the Knicks back in contention.
lmao at luke walton for perkins
lakerfan talking about trading for Kendrick Perkins? For ing Ron Artest and Luke Walton? That's a new low in lakerfan existence on spurstalk.
