    Chris Broussard on the reports that the Lakers and Nuggets have had preliminary discussions involving Carmelo Anthony…WT Heck? This is so last year…The Lakers have had talks with the Nuggets months ago but were no where near the offers from the Nets…Does Boussard consider himself an NBA insider?

    Personally I hope the Lakers get Blake Griffin instead…

    Well let me splain it to you…Mitch starts chipping away at offers months & in the Gasol case, years before the trade happens…The Clippers are the Clippers…Eventually they let their best players go for a few draft choices so they can land the next star, play him for a few years at a modest salary & then let him go…

    Blake Griffin enjoys playing in Staples Center, The Sistine Chapel of Basketball…He is not going to want to play in New Jersey or Cleveland if you catch my drift…

    This is just to scare the Knicks to throw more pieces in. Plus LA doesn't do this deal unless:

    1.)They get Denver to take on Artest/Walton and get Nene in return (Doubt it since Denver wants to shed salary).

    2.)They get Melo to agree on an extension.

    Dumb trade for the Lakers. They'll give up a young big, to get back a player who's mostly a scoring type, like Kobe.
