I've found myself listening repeatedly to that song.. Not catchy, just enjoy it for some reason.
I was never a big fan of hers, but after hearing her talk about how her sex life inspired 19 - I decided it was best that I stayed away from wailing ballads about fat people ing and the subsequent broken heart.

Not really. Other than both being British white girls with soulful voices, there really aren't that many similarities in their style. Adele doesn't have any of the old R&B/girl group sound.
can't pretend to have heard any of this album, but big krit's sample with her is top notch

alright. actually went back and listened to this song (a few times) and it's good . still haven't heard the album, but may be inclined to now.

I've liked Adele since they played her non-stop on the foreign MTV channel while I was deployed in 08. (The Chasing Pavements video got heavy rotation, but I like Cold Shoulder more.)
For those who've listened to Adele, what do you think of Duffy? I've only a heard few Duffy songs; not too bad.
Duffy is ok but like Adele more fwiw imo
I only have Duffy's Rockferry CD. The songs are good, but I really prefer a more powerful, torchy female vocal, which is why I like Adele. They both have a very retro sound, Adele is Dusty Springfield-like and Duffy reminds me of 60's "go-go" music in the style of Lulu.
yeah i like her music.. i had discovered her by accident on youtube.. i heard this big krit song first and someone said he sampled adele.. so i checked it out.. that's how i found out
ive only heard one duffy song.. she's alright.. i'd listen to more of hers
